Peter Sheridan took up the role of CEO of Co-operation Ireland on the 1st January 2009. Prior to joining Co-operation Ireland Peter was a police officer for 30 years. He
started his police career as a cadet officer in 1978 and spent much of his service in the north west of Northern Ireland in uniformed policing, where he rose through the
ranks from Constable to Assistant Chief Constable responsible for all of Northern Ireland outside the Greater Belfast area. In February 2006 Peter assumed responsibility
for Crime Operations Department in which he had responsibility for murder and serious and organised crime investigation. In June 2007 he was awarded the OBE from
Her Majesty the Queen for services to the community and in September 2009 he was appointed as a Commissioner on the Equality Commission for NI.
Michael Walsh
Michael’s background is one of engineering, graduating from UCC in 1983 with a Civil Engineering degree. He started his career in Local Government with Waterford
County Council in 1983 and worked between there and Limerick City Council for a number of years at various engineering posts until 2000 when he was appointed as
Senior Executive Engineer in Waterford City Council. From there he progressed to the post of Director of Services and became Waterford City Manager in November,
2007. In June 2014, Michael was appointed Chief Executive of the newly amalgamated Waterford City and County Council. He is the current chair of the Housing and
Building Sub Committee of the City and County Managers Association.
Aidan o’reilly
Aidan O’Reilly is Principal Officer with the Social Housing Capital Investment area of the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government — this
includes the local authority construction programme for social housing, regeneration and a range of other stock improvement programmes. He is therefore involved
with a range of the social housing actions and targets contained in Rebuilding Ireland, both in relation to delivery of new stock and the best use of existing stock. Aidan
previously worked in a range of areas within the Department’s Community Division. He has also worked in Departments of Justice, Foreign Affairs and Social Protection.
Colm McQuillan
Colm was appointed Director of Housing Services from 1st April 2017. Colm has worked with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for 33 years and has held a number
of operational and strategic posts that have influenced and informed the development of housing policy, strategies, and services. Colm has extensive experience and
expertise in all areas of housing policies, supporting people, legislation, Housing Benefit and homelessness strategies, including those related to Community Involvement,
Cohesion and Safety. Colm had a lead role in the Modernisation of the Landlord Division and undertook major systems development, implementation and restructuring.
As Director of Housing Services he is responsible for the management and business associated with the Housing Executive’s 87,000 properties.
Carmel o’Hare
Carmel O’Hare is Head of Information Systems in Monaghan County Council since January 2017. She has over 20 years’ experience working in I.T. progressing from a
technical support role in the early years to business solutions design, project and change management, service delivery management and team leadership roles in recent
years. She managed the unification of information systems in 2014 when the town councils were abolished and has played a major role in transforming business processes
in Monaghan County Council housing section since. Carmel has a BSc in Information Technology and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
John o’Connor
John is the Chief Executive Officer of the Housing Agency, which is a statutory body set up under the aegis of the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local
Government (DHPCLG). The Agency was established to provide local authorities and approved housing bodies with high quality advice and support on the delivery of
housing and housing services. John is a structural engineer and has a wide range of experience in housing across both the public and private sectors. He has extensive
experience in the development, provision and direct delivery of housing, particularly in the areas of social housing, affordable housing and regeneration projects. John
was previously the Chief Executive of the Affordable Homes Partnership and prior to that Executive Manager with Dublin City Council’s Housing Department.
Brian o’gorman
Brian is Chief Executive of Clúid Housing Association. He has worked in non-profit housing organisations for 25 years. He has worked across a range of organisations
involved in housing advice, advocacy and homelessness. Brian was previously chair of the Irish Council for Social Housing, which is the representative organisation for
Housing Associations in Ireland. He was also a member of the Dublin City Council Strategic Policy Committee for Housing.
niall Cussen
Niall is the Chief Planning Adviser at the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government. He is responsible for advancing strategic planning and
development policy at national and regional levels in Ireland and played an important role in the preparation of the Government’s Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness
“Rebuilding Ireland”. Niall is Head of Business Unit of the Forward Planning Section and leads the Departments professional Planning Advisers in the Department’s
Planning, Housing Market Policy and Land Management Division progressing both the Department’s as well as a wider government business agenda relating to legislative
and policy development in planning and related matters, most recently in the context of the Urban Regeneration and Housing Act 2015, two current planning bills and the
preparation of a National Planning Framework to succeed the National Spatial Strategy.
Jennie Donald
Jennie Donald is Deputy Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA), joining the organisation in 2013 from the Chartered Institute
of Housing. She leads NIFHA’s policy and influencing work on development, finance, procurement and regulation. She previously held posts in the Department for Social
Development in urban regeneration policy and as Private Secretary to the Minister from 2008 to 2010 and the Northern Ireland Assembly. In February 2014, Jennie was
appointed Chair of the Interim Regulatory Committee in the Republic of Ireland, responsible for overseeing the implementation of a Voluntary Regulatory Code for the
sector, and advising on the development of statutory regulation.
Donal McManus
Donal McManus is Chief Executive of the Irish Council for Social Housing (ICSH) the national federation of housing associations in Ireland. Previously he worked in the
public and housing association sectors in both Scotland and Northern Ireland. He was previously a Board member of Housing Europe (the EU Social Housing Federation),
the President of the European Housing Forum, and was appointed from 2004-2006 to the UNECE Task Force on Social Housing. Donal is also currently a board member
of the Housing Agency.
Barry Quinlan
Barry Quinlan has responsibility at Head of Business Unit Level for the implementation, communication and public engagement of Rebuilding Ireland - Action Plan for
Housing and Homelessness, for market housing and land management policy including the development of a Land Supply Management Strategy; working with the Housing
Agency, the Housing Delivery Office and other key stakeholders to unlock State and privately held lands for accelerated housing development (Land Aggregation Scheme
Land; Local Authority sites; broader State lands and Pathfinder large scale housing Sites public or privately held).

Seamus Neely is the Chief Executive of Donegal County Council. He started his public service career with Donegal County Council before moving to various roles in
Cavan and Monaghan Urban District Councils, followed by ten years at Cavan County Council. He returned to Donegal County Council in late 2008 as a Director of
Service and took up his current role in June 2010. He is currently the Chairman of both Donegal Tourism Ltd and the Donegal Economic Development Committee.
