Thank you for your interest in our swimming lessons.
Please fill in the form below and our coordinator will be in contact with you as soon as possible. Be aware that there
are limited numbers but we will endeavour to place you and/or your child/children in the program on the day you
have selected. An assessment will most likely be needed to ascertain what level your child fits into. All of our lessons
run with the school terms with the opportunity for extra lessons in certain holiday programs when we offer them.
COST
Children: Fees are based on length of school terms - $85.00 (based on ten lessons)
Adults: Private lessons - $25.00 per half hour or $40.00 per hour / Group lesson - $15.00 per half hour

Diaper Dolphins – 25min lessons
6-24 months & 2-3 years
Babies/toddlers and their caregivers will be introduced to the water with familiarisation and confidence as the goal.
We begin teaching the following eight basic skills through songs and games:
 front float
 back float
 kicking
 pulling
 swimming
 rolling over
 submerging
 breath control
These will take some time to master as they move through the stages of development. Parental/adult involvement is
required. Programme consists of one 25 minute lesson per week and a swimming nappy must be worn.
Pre-Schoolers – 25min lessons
3-5 years
These classes build on skills learnt in baby and toddler classes, gaining independence through songs and games. We
will continue to practice the eight basic skills and expect the children to become proficient in blowing bubbles, safe
entries & exits, submerging, floating on front and back and kicking.
Children are introduced to their first stroke – Survival Backstroke. No parental/adult involvement is required - tutor
directed only. Programme consists of one 25 minute lesson per week and a swimming nappy must be worn.
School Aged – 30min lessons
5 years plus
Programme consists of one 30 minute lesson per week.
Squad groups run for 45min – please talk to coordinator for further info on these.
Adults
16 years plus
One on one - $25.00 per half hour or $40.00 per hour.
Group lesson (3 or more) - $15.00 per half hour.

Swim School General Information
Swipe Cards
Once payment is received at reception and your booking is confirmed, you will be issued with a swipe card
(new members only) allowing quick entry for each lesson during the term. Swipe cards are for swim school
class times ONLY. Likewise, when your child is ready to, or needs to leave the Swim School then swipe cards
will need to be returned to reception.
Swimwear for lessons
Speedo type swimwear/boy leg lycra swimmers for the boys and a one piece costume for the girls. No rash
vests (school age programme) please as these fill with air and make swimming near impossible. No board
shorts to be worn please as these create drag in the water and again, make the job that much harder for
both tutor and child.
Goggles are a must and swim caps for the girls – this keeps their hair out of their face while they are trying
to learn to swim.
Pre-Schoolers are all to wear swim nappies, as is the Aquatic Centre rules.
Supervision
During the 25/30min lesson your child is under the supervision of their tutor, (6months-3yr olds require a
parent in the water!) we encourage parents to use this time to either swim themselves or go get a coffee –
more often than not children become distracted by their parent’s prescence or tend to play up more (of
course this is not a steadfast rule and you are also able to watch your child progress). However after the
lesson you must supervise your child according to the pool rules. It is also a great idea for you to come
collect your child poolside incase the tutor needs to speak to you.
Absences
A phone call (leave a message) or email notifying the coordinator of your childs absence is much
appreciated.
If your child becomes quite sick or injures themselves and it looks likely to affect multiple lessons, a refund
will not be given out, however we can credit your account, on evidence of a Doctor's certificate/or at the
co-ordinators discretion.
PLEASE NOTE: Just like paying other sporting or school fees, we do not credit every missed lesson for
reasons of other activities and mild stay-at-home days.
