To All Advanced Placement Students: February 2017 Where to Find Information: Important information for the 2017 Advanced Placement testing schedule is now available in the “Bulletin for AP Students and Parents”. You can get a copy when you pay for your AP exam and also the College Board’s website. https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/home Purchasing Your Exam(s): The first day to register for an AP Exam is Monday February 27 through Friday March 10, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM for current IUSD students, grades 10-12. Non-IUSD students living within the IUSD boundaries and those residing outside of IUSD may begin registration on Monday, March 13 @ 1 PM, space permitting. The fee is $120 per exam. Space is limited to 25 students for each exam. Please note that we must have a minimum of 10 students to offer an exam. Exams can be purchased at the Creekside Education Center Administration Office with cash or a check (made out to “San Joaquin High School”). To register for your exam(s) in person, you will need the following: A completed registration form Cash or a check (made out to “San Joaquin High School”) Your student ID When you purchase your exam(s), save your receipt and make sure that the receipt indicates the name(s) of the exam(s) that you plan to take. If the wrong exam(s) are listed on your receipt, return ASAP for a correction – if you do not, the wrong exam(s) may be ordered for you. 7th, 8th and 9th grade students: As a school district, we do not recommend that students self-study for any AP exams. Students will have plenty of time during their remaining high school years to take AP exams. Only in rare situations will approval be granted. Testing Conflicts/More than 1 test on the same date: If you are also planning to take one of the morning exams listed, please register for that exam here as well. You will not have enough time to travel between two locations. We will not delay the start of the exam for you. DO NOT purchase your exams until we have resolved the conflict. Cancelling an Exam: There is no refund if you cancel an exam. Late/Alternate Exams: There will be no late or alternate exams given. Preadmission Sessions: If you are not taking any additional AP exams, you must attend the pre-admission session on Tuesday, April 25 at 4 PM @ Creekside High School. If you are taking additional AP exams, please contact Mrs. Hamilton (see below) for additional information. Advanced Placement Coordinators: Please contact Dr. Roberts or Mrs. Hamilton with any questions you may have. We are happy to answer any questions you have, but please read through the “Registration Form” and the “Bulletin for AP Students and Parents” before contacting us – you may find the answer to your question there.
