Abbot Hall is launching an art competition for 16-22 year-olds in
Cumbria. Abbot Hall has a long tradition of showing exhibitions (and

Tate's national Turner Prize.
We have named the Romney Art Prize after the artist George Romney
(1734 – 1802). Romney was a famous English portrait painted who
lived in Cumbria. Several of his paintings are on display at Abbot Hall.
