CAPRICORN DRIVES
Rockhampton Beef & Bulls
Six bull statues representing
the main breeds of the area
are situated throughout
Rockhampton in recognition of
Rockhampton’s Beef Capital of
Australia title. Follow this trail to
see these statues, but keep your
eyes peeled for other life-size
bulls decorating premises around
Rocky. These fun and quirky statues
are part of a competition run in
conjunction with the triannual
Beef Expo, which has become an
icon event for the Australian beef
industry and a major event for the
State of Queensland.
Approx trail time: 45min Approx trail distance: 21km

to commemorate the Italian Beef
Cattle World Congress staged in
conjunction with Beef ‘97.
Next stop is the southern entrance
to Rockhampton. Return to
Lower Dawson Road and turn
left to continue over Yeppen

north side of the river. Retrace your
tracks along North Street and follow
through to a set of traffic lights on
Bolsover Street where you need to
turn right. Take your next left and
you’ll find yourself on Neville Hewitt
