Dear Prospective Sponsor,
On April 21, 2017 Brevard Rescue Mission (BRM) is holding the 8th Annual “Women Who Care
SHARE” community fundraising event. BRM works to break the cycle of homelessness in our
community by providing transitional supportive housing with wrap-around services in a Christ-centered
residential setting to homeless women with children.
Designed to lovingly transform homeless families from dependency to self-sufficiency, our program is
achieved through daily accountability, personal responsibility and goal advancement. With a 90% jobretention rate after graduation, it’s a program that succeeds!
“Me and my girls are living in our car,” said Samantha* when she called BRM.
Unfortunately, that car was about to be repossessed. “We collected everything the family
owned from that car – including birth certificates,” said BRM’s Case Manager. “Samantha
looked defeated and began to cry. We sat together on the street curb and she poured out
her heart. I reminded her that God has a plan for her life; her girls are safe and together,
we’re going to make REAL life changes and they will never again live in a car!”
BRM is not only providing a private apartment for families like Samantha’s to call home, but we are also
sharing the love of Christ, while they work hard toward meeting educational goals and obtaining needed
life skills to become self-sufficient. We are breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness in our
community — but we can’t do it without your help!
Our goal is to raise $150,000 at this event. Because we want our residents to learn how to live without
government assistance, BRM does not accept government funding. We are solely reliant on private
donations to help transform the lives of the families we serve. Sadly, we turn away 300+ families in need
each year, so we’re working on expansion plans and have increased our fundraising goals. Will you
