PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Looks like March is turning out be nice and calm. Some of the calmness may
depend upon how well your team performed in March Madness.
Special congratulations to our new leaders for 2010-2011. The chapter will be
supporting two of the new leaders, Dana Skornia – Vice President and Martha
Campbell – Secretary in their attendance at the IIA Leadership conference in
April. I look forward to hearing great ideas from the conference.
We had a great turnout of 30+ at the Spring Social last week. The Board will
plan to have another social in May.
“Invite a CPA friend to the
th
April 29 event””
Something new this month is the Certification Corner. Every month, Tim Smith
will provide new information regarding certifications.
Finally, the Board and Event Planning Committee are very excited about the
April 29th CPE event. This is the first event of its kind. The event has two goals
which are to provide:
1. Inexpensive NASBA qualifying CPE in the area of auditing
2. A great learning experience
You may learn more about the event by clicking Register Me.
See you on April 29th.
Sincerely,
Gina Eubanks, CIA, CCSA, CISA

Certifications Corner NEW THIS MONTH!
By Tim Smith
Welcome to the new Certifications Corner!
This Corner will be dedicated to updates on the four exams, links to study material offers and chapter progress in
its goal of providing its members guidance towards personal achievement. We need your help to determine the
needs of the Chapter members and set chapter goals for our 2011-2012 Get Certified! program. A short survey
will be sent to you in April to solicit your input for the program.
This month we are featuring the IIAs CIA Learning System. The IIA has donated a CIA
Learning System ($795 value) to be given away at the April 29th event and special
discount on the purchase of these materials. If you decide to purchase the CIA
Learning System, please use the link on the Chapter homepage. The Chapter receives
1 CAP point for each kit sold through our webpage.
To become certified …
Apply for IIA professional certifications
