The AudiTrail Page 2 of 5 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Looks like March is turning out be nice and calm. Some of the calmness may depend upon how well your team performed in March Madness. Special congratulations to our new leaders for 2010-2011. The chapter will be supporting two of the new leaders, Dana Skornia – Vice President and Martha Campbell – Secretary in their attendance at the IIA Leadership conference in April. I look forward to hearing great ideas from the conference. We had a great turnout of 30+ at the Spring Social last week. The Board will plan to have another social in May. “Invite a CPA friend to the th April 29 event”” Something new this month is the Certification Corner. Every month, Tim Smith will provide new information regarding certifications. Finally, the Board and Event Planning Committee are very excited about the April 29th CPE event. This is the first event of its kind. The event has two goals which are to provide: 1. Inexpensive NASBA qualifying CPE in the area of auditing 2. This Corner will be dedicated to updates on the four exams, links to study material offers and chapter progress in its goal of providing its members guidance towards personal achievement. We need your help to determine the needs of the Chapter members and set chapter goals for our 2011-2012 Get Certified! program. A short survey will be sent to you in April to solicit your input for the program. This month we are featuring the IIAs CIA Learning System. The IIA has donated a CIA Learning System ($795 value) to be given away at the April 29th event and special discount on the purchase of these materials. If you decide to purchase the CIA Learning System, please use the link on the Chapter homepage. The Chapter receives 1 CAP point for each kit sold through our webpage. CHAPTER ADMINISTRATION Chapter Achievement Program (CAP) The goal for 2010 – 2011 is to achieve Gold status. This requires 1,560 points. Throughout the year, we will provide you an update regarding our progress and suggest ideas of how you can help the Chapter achieve gold.
