Downhill via piste no. 45 and 40 to the Gartnerkofel chairlift. 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm: route inspection (last admission 2:00 pm) Followed by: Après Ski Party with starting number draw, (finish area Millennium-Express 5 starting places in the first starting group are drawn among the attendees) From 07:30 am: 2nd uphill ride to the start with the Gartnerkofel chairlift. Ascent to the “Trögl-Parkplatz“ car park at Nassfeld by own car also possible. Approx. 12:30 pm: Winners‘ ceremony in the finish area 08:45 am: Start of the world’s longest ski race (upper terminus Gartnerkofel chairlift) From 09:15 am: the first participants reach the finish area. 11:00 am: end of scoring Approx. 12:30 pm: Winners‘ ceremony in the finish area Registration & info: www.schlagdasass.at Registration and terms and conditions Participation / Terms and conditions A total of 800 start numbers will be issued. Participants in the race must be aged 16 and older. Parents are liable for their children if they are under the age of 18. Normal skiwear, no race suit, wearing a helmet is mandatory, alpine skis, no snowboard, back protector recommended. Scores/Starting groups Groups of 20 starters each start in 2-minute intervals. Subject to change! Starting sequence after “Armin and Friends“ is arranged according to the results of 2015 and 2016 (the better result counts). 5 new participants are added to each starting group in a draw. From the attendees of the Après Ski Party, 5 participants joining the first starting group are selected in a draw. Separate individual ranking for ladies and gentlemen. Team ranking: a team consists of 4-6 participants, at least one of them a lady. The times of the 4 fastest are added up, whereby at least one lady must be included in the scores. Country ranking: The scores of the fastest participants from each country are evaluated separately. (A designated ranking by federal state applies to participants from Austria) Average time: To establish the average time, all times of the individual rankings will be used. The average time is calculated from the fastest and slowest time, regardless whether the time is from the men or women ranking. The prize is awarded to only one winner. If, contrary to expectations, several participants achieve an identical average time, then the winner will be established by draw. If the average time is not achieved, then the participant with the least difference to the average time wins. Registration Simply complete the registration form on www.schlagdasass.at. (Only registrations completed online can be accepted) Sign the terms and conditions separately, scan them in and send to [email protected]. A form must be complete and signed by every participant (also when registe ring as a team). The signed terms and conditions are only valid for one person. Skiing under race-like conditions is not permitted on the route during operating times and leads to disqualification. Race track: The race leads across 9 main pistes and therefore through the entire ski resort. Downhill runs and lift rides will be included. Direction gates must be crossed on closed pistes. Route distance: 25.6 km, difference in altitude: 6.400 m Start: 8:45 am at the upper terminus Gartnerkofel chairlift. The ascent by Millennium Express is possible from 07:00 am. Registration & info: www.schlagdasass.at Conduct and liability: The FIS rules of conduct must be observed; meaning skiing with maximum attention, ready to stop any moment; every participant must adjust the speed according to his/her ability, and prevailing weather conditions and must not endanger other participants. When over taking, the required safety distance (one ski length) must be overserved. When braking during skiing, stretch your hands out to the side. Operating rules must also be observed when using the lifts. Every participant takes part at his/her own risk. The event organiser does not assume any liability. The terms and conditions already accepted during registration apply! The participants must have their own sufficient liability, accident and rescue insurance. A membership in the ÖSV, Mountain Rescue, Alpine Association, etc., does cover such events. Direction gates and time recording control points are distributed across the entire route. Those must be passed for scoring. The gate flags are red & blue. The bib number must be worn throughout the race (also at the lifts). Anyone who takes off or disguises the bib number will be disqualified. The track marshals have yellow and red flags. A track marshal waving the yellow flag, indicates danger and the speed must be reduced. A track marshal waiving the red flag, means to take a downhill turn immediately. Further instructions by the track marshals must be followed. Closed downhill runs are marked and clearly flagged with direction gates. Those gates must be crossed. The route between the gates is at the discretion of the individual. The turnstiles at the lifts can only be opened with a valid ski ticket. Getting off the T-bar early means disqualification! Instructions by the track marshals with flags must be observed. A refund of the entry fee after registration is not possible. Every participant must report back in the finish area even if the participant does not complete the race. Any stoppage of a lift to be used during the race does not entitle to a time credit. By registering, I acknowledge that there is no accident and health insurance cover provided for me by the event organiser for the entire duration of the event, and that it is my responsibility to arrange the relevant insurance cover. I also acknowledge that my personal liability for damages is not covered by the event organiser.This means, in case I damage or injure a third person due to my participation in the race, I am fully liable for all damages. Please note that disorderly and unsportsmanlike conduct on the piste and at the lift accesses will lead to disqualification! I shall be skiing in a manner so not to endanger anyone – the FIS rules of conduct apply (here in particular controlling of speed and quality of skiing). Skiers who do not follow the official route will be disqualified without exception. Decisions made by the organising committee are binding and non-appealable. The route is open to the general public during the inspection. This means, no skiing under race-like conditions (high speed) during the inspections and when the route is used by other third parties. Wearing a helmet is mandatory! Parents are liable for participating children under the age of 18. I declare that I also agree that personal data specified in the registration and photos, film footage and interviews of me may be used in radio, television, advertising, books, photo copies, internet, films, video tapes, etc. without any entitlement to remuneration. I confirm that the data provided in the registration is correct and I shall not transfer my bib number to another person. I am aware that I will be disqualified if I modify the bib number in any way.
