The following is in response to your comment received by email April 4, 2016 (attached) for the site plan
application for the proposed development located at 6208 Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard North.
This information is provided to supplement the Noise Impact Assessment prepared by Novatech (R-2015171) dated November 6, 2015.
The height of the proposed noise walls have been increased to 2.2-meter to reduce the potential noise level
(Leq) to below 60dBA and as close to 55dBA in the Outdoor Living Area of unit 1 and unit 9.
We are providing revised Stampson noise modelling program results that indicate by increasing the height of
the wall the potential noise levels are reduced by 1.33dBA for unit 1 (O1a22) and 1.10dBA for unit 9 (O5a22).
The attached Noise Control Plan (115100-NC, revision 2) indicates the revised wall height.
Please confirm that the Noise Impact Assessment report, together with the above information is acceptable to
the City for the proposed development.

Please refer back to the letter from your office dated March 1, 2016, under the Reference: Response to Comments 6208
Jean D’Arc Boulevard North.
After having reviewed your response to City comments, the dev rev believes the Noise Impact Assessment Comment
from City does not seem to have been addressed according to the NIA Guidelines.
Your response has not identified any alternative mitigative measures that may bring the dBA at or close to 55 dBA in the
OLA, as identified previously.
Please advise if you wish to speak face-to-face and in that case, send me a request for meeting here City Hall to
understand City of Ottawa’s requirements to mitigate noise level in the OLA.
