Quests
Quests Overview
Quests are tasks given to you by other characters in the world, such as harvesting
ingredients for spells, solving puzzles and defeating enemies! Just walk up to
characters with something to say, and they will send you on your way.
A YELLOW exclamation point
means this character has a
mission to give you. Click on
the character to speak with him
or her.
A GREY question mark means
you have a quest in progress
with this character. Click to
be reminded of your quest
tasks.
A RED question mark means
you have carried out a quest
successfully and need to turn
it in. Click on the character
to speak with him or her and
collect your rewards!
Quest Dialogues
When you see characters with an icon over their head, left-click the character and you will see a
Quest Dialog window appear. Read what the characters have to say, and then click the green check
mark to accept the quest. Be sure to follow your quest compass to help you find your way around
(see “quest compass" for more details).
Quest Log
Click the quest log icon in your bag to bring up your quest log which displays all your
current quests and reminds you what you have to achieve. When you accept a quest, it
is automatically entered in the Quest Log.
Quest Tracker
Sometimes you may lose your way when adventuring. When this
happens, you can look to your Quest Tracker. The quest tracker
displays the objectives of the currently tracked quests. Click on
the box next to the quest you’d like to track and your Quest
Compass will point you towards where you need to travel to fulfil
the quest objective.
Quest Compass
The Quest Compass is displayed on top of the screen (see Main
UI). The compass works in conjunction with the quest tracker. An
arrow will point towards the location of your current quest.
9
Combat
Collect magic spell cards and wield them in combat with the creatures of darkness!
Magic Duels – Spell Cards
To attack an enemy or creature, move your lion close to the enemy and click on it to
start your battle. You will then be taken to the duelling arena.
A spell card has many different pieces of
information. The picture on the right shows some
of the things you can understand about a spell just
by looking at the card. If you are not sure what a
certain spell card does, mouse over it to see more
details.
Cards are colour-coded for easy reference: Red
for attack cards, blue for shield cards, purple for
special spell removal cards and green for regen
(healing) cards.
Damage
Regen
Red Damage cards deal
a certain amount of
damage on your
opponent, resulting in a
decrease of their health
points.
Green Regen cards are
spells you cast on
yourself that
regenerate your health
points and/or your
mana
Shield
Blue Shield cards
protect you from some
of the damage cast by
your opponent
Remove
Purple Remove cards
take away the effects
of your opponent’s
spells, such as shields
10
The Duelling Arena
To engage in a duel with one of the Shadow Master’s minions; simply click on it; the duelling arena
will load and magical combat will commence!
Mana Crystals
Mana Crystals power your spells. Most spells require a certain number of mana crystals to cast. Your
current number of crystals is shown as blue diamonds on the bottom of the screen. You will receive
one or more mana crystals each turn of the duel. You might want to save up your crystals to play
more powerful cards!
How to Duel
1. Click on a card to select it
Click on it to select a card to play it or discard it.
2. Drag the card to the middle of the screen to the “hit box”
When you select a card will see a rune appear in the centre of your screen. If the rune is
green, you have enough mana crystals to play the card and you can drag the card up to the
box and let it go to trigger the spell. If the rune is red, you don’t have enough mana to play
the card, so letting go of the mouse button will instead return the card to the deck.
11
A green rune means you have enough mana
crystals to drop the card and trigger the spell
A red rune means you have insufficient mana
crystals to play the selected card.
3. Play another card or end your turn
You can play more spell cards if you have enough mana. Or you may choose to save your
mana for later turns (more powerful spells require lots of mana). Click “end turn” when
finished.
4. Discard a card if you have too many
You may get a message to discard a card if you have too many. After you get this message,
you will see a bin appear on the lower right of your screen. Simply select and drag a card
there to discard it.
5. Victory or Defeat!
If an enemy’s health drops to zero, it will flee
and you will see a victory notification. You
will then receive any loot dropped by your
defeated enemy.
If your stamina drops to zero, you will be
defeated and will have to try again, perhaps
after you’ve collected some stronger spell
cards. You can also click the “Flee” button to
end the duel prematurely.
Spell Book
The Spell Book interface allows you to choose the spell cards that will be available to
you in duels. Your deck has only 20 slots, so choose wisely, with a mixture of attack,
shielding and healing cards. You must have 20 cards in your deck before you can exit
your spell book. These cards can be changed at any time out of combat. Click on a card
in your card collection album on the right of your screen to add it to your deck. Click on a card in
your deck on the left to remove it. You may only have a maximum of four of any one card in your
deck. You can also only have one powerful “legendary” spell card in your deck at any one time.

fragments of a magical world map and piece it together like
a puzzle. Once you have added a piece to your map, you can
click on it to magically travel there. To bring up your map,

your keyboard.

grab cursor. This means you can click on the object to collect it and place it into your
inventory.

magnifying glass cursor, you can click the object to examine it close-up.
13
Carnival Wheel
Be sure to click on the lucky spin carnival wheel in Lion Kingdom city square every day! You pay for
spins with Paddle Pop coins earned on by watching videos and playing other games on the Paddle
Pop web portal and on mobile!
Legendary Items
After the final quest is completed, you can still engage with the game by
battling creatures and getting rare legendary spell cards and clothing
item drops. This will help you earn the XP needed to rise to the level
cap of 15 and earn the ultimate character title.
Legendary items constitute attractive avatar items that are rare (low
percentage) drops from mobs, and the most powerful spell cards crafted
with rarely collectible items.
Obtaining legendary items, especially full sets, will weigh heavily on
your leaderboard ranking. Each legendary item has a points score which
add up to form a player’s legendary points.
