DEAR PARENTS OF THE CLASS OF 2018,
Rowlett High School would like to make senior activities available and affordable to every student.
Every student must have a contract on file to participate in senior activities. The senior contract is set up so that
your student’s senior activities can be paid for in installments. This will help students and parents because the
whole amount will not be due at one time. You sign up and pay for the activities you want to participate in, with
the option of adding additional items later.
INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT ARE THE FOLLOWING:
Prom: The biggest and most elegant of all senior activities, the prom price includes – the dance, food, and door
prizes.
Senior Luncheon: A gathering of family and friends to reflect and celebrate this special time in your child’s life.
It is traditional for a student’s entire immediate family to attend. This event will be held on a Saturday or Sunday
in May 2018 and will include lunch, entertainment, presentation of the senior video and much more.
Senior Educational Field Trip: RHS senior class members enjoy sharing time together in an educational setting,
where they may learn and still have fun. Students will complete an assignment in conjunction with the field trip
in the days following the field trip.
Senior Video: A photographic collection of memories set to music. We will be requesting a baby picture and a
current picture of each senior. Group photos from elementary, middle and high school are great as well.
Senior Gift: It is a Rowlett High School tradition that the senior class leaves a gift to the school when they
graduate. A committee will select the gift. Past gifts have been a brick sign, mosaic emblem in the front hallway
and a stain glass window for the offices.
On the next page you will see a breakdown of the cost of the individual senior activities mentioned above. The
types of activities may vary and will be decided on a later date. All activities will be based on the number of
participating students at the end of the sophomore year.
