My mother bought me a mobile phone on my last birthday. It was the
best birthday present I had ever received. It was not the latest model
that I had been eyeing, but I was still glad that I finally had my own mobile
phone.
I am not allowed to take it to school but I take it with me whenever
I go out with my friends. My mobile phone has a sleek black casing with a
thin silver strip around it. All my friends have commented on how stylish
it looks. It is also slim enough to put into my pocket. Sometimes, I hang it
on a string around my neck. It is very light. I do not even feel it there. My
mobile phone is a clamshell phone. I open it up when I need to use it. On
the front of the phone is a huge screen. I have placed a picture of myself
and my pet dog, Rusty, on the screen. There is another screen inside when
I open the phone. I have another picture of Rusty there.
The most interesting feature in my mobile phone is the music function.
I have downloaded many of my favourite songs into the phone. Once I plug
in the earphones, I can listen to all the songs. Most importantly, I can
still receive calls and messages when I am listening to music. I think the
compact phone is very convenient. I do not have to carry many things with
me when I go out. To personalise my phone, I have downloaded my favourite
ringtones.
I usually communicate with my friends by sending messages. I usually
communicate with my parents by sending messages. I seldom call them. I
feel that it is more convenient to send messages as they can reply to my
message when they have the time. Besides these features, I also make
use of the built-in camera quite extensively. I like to take pictures of my
friends when we go out. I went overseas on a school trip last month. I used
the phone to take pictures of the beautiful attractions there. I am grateful to my mother for buying me a mobile phone. I have
promised her that I will take good care of it.
