CONTROLLER – ANCHORAGE, ALASKA
LifeMed Alaska is the state’s premier provider of ALS Ground and Air Medical transportation. LifeMed Alaska routinely
transports patients from rural Alaska to tertiary care centers across the state as well as major cities in the continental US
and internationally. LifeMed Alaska operates bases in several communities around Alaska and employs more than 100

Position Description:
LifeMed Alaska is searching for a full-time Controller. The position will include a full benefits package. The package
includes healthcare coverage, life insurance, 401K and paid time off.
The controller is responsible for overall financial reporting and management of the company, supervising and performing
day to day accounting functions including AR, AP and Payroll; preparing financial statements, budgeting and forecasting,
insuring the accuracy of journal entries, audit preparation, project management and performing revenue and expense
analysis.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 5+ years of intermediate level accounting experience; 3 years of staff management and supervision.
Other Qualifications: Knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls, including accounts receivable,
accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory; good knowledge of US GAAP and willingness to research and resolve
accounting application; strong analytical skills; auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult
accounts; Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus; Microsoft
Excel mandatory with exceptional skills; detail oriented and organized in work; Ability to meet assigned deadlines;
ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to
maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
