AM 560 The Answer’s Steve Cochran Charity Golf Outing
Raises Nearly $20,000 for Honor Flight Chicago
June 7, 2013 – Bolingbrook, IL –AM 560 The Answer (WIND/Chicago) afternoon host
Steve Cochran’s 5th annual charity golf outing raised $19,224 for Honor Flight Chicago.
The sold-out golf fundraiser, co-sponsored by Culver’s, was held on Thursday, June 6
at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.
142 golfers joined Steve Cochran and morning show co-host Amy Jacobson for a round
of golf at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Cochran then hosted his afternoon show live from
the course.
Following the live broadcast, a dinner banquet was held where the 27 WWII veterans in
attendance were honored, and the check for $19,224 was presented to Honor Flight
Chicago. The amount raised will enable Honor Flight Chicago to take an additional 38
WWII veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the WWII Memorial built in their honor.
