Construction Carbon Bows Specifications

Carbon Bows
Yamaha Carbon Bows are produced and adjusted by highly skilled craftspeople to deliver the same feel and playability as fine
Pernambuco bows. But unlike wooden bows, changes in weather, temperature, or humidity have little effect on a carbon bow,
making it highly stable and perfect for use in any situation—even outdoor concerts.

Pinchas Zukerman
Internationally renowned violin and viola soloist, chamber musician, and
teacher Pinchas Zukerman worked together with Yamaha designers to
produce a bow for professional violinists, as well as for serious students
preparing for a career in music. His tremendous talent and experience
coupled with close attention to the most intricate details guided the design of
Zukerman’s bow.
Carbon Bows – By Yamaha
Yamaha has created a revolution in the string world by offering extremely high quality bows which are consistently
produced—and at very affordable prices. At first, many professionals bought them as second bows to use for practice
and when climatic conditions weren’t favorable to natural wood. But more and more of these players have discovered
that the carbon fiber bows are equal to some of the best professional Pernambuco wooden bows; yet for only a fraction
of their cost.
The fact that world-class soloists such as Pinchas Zukerman and Zakhar Bron use Yamaha bows is a testament
to how well they play, and many orchestral players have begun using them as their main bows too.
Yamaha offers some exciting options for selecting a new bow. The Signature Series are the result of design
collaborations with outstanding internationals artists and were created to meet their exacting standards. In addition

used with complete confidence by discriminating artists in all musical situations.
