They settled near rivers and streams. The Eastern Woodland tribes were hunters/gathers, fisherman, and farmers. Yemasee Lived in the Coastal Zone region on the southern coast of SC near the Georgia border Lived in wigwams in the summer and wattle and daub houses in the winter Gathered clams and oysters because they lived on the coast unlike the Cherokee and Catawba
