Stewarts Bay Walk All year round This short walk begins on site at Port Arthur and is a beautiful track that Holiday Park leads you down to Stewarts Bay. Stewarts Bay is nestled between Port Arthur and the Port Arthur Historic Holiday Park Site, encompassing a stunning beach, calming ocean and world heritage listed National Park. Port Arthur Historic Site Ghost Tour Every evening Bookings essential Winter, with its moodier weather and darker nights, is the spookiest time to take a mysterious Ghost Tour. The 90 minute, lantern lit Ghost Tour of the Port Arthur Historic site is rich with tales from long ago and reveals intriguing, unexplained, occurrences during Port Arthurs History. After Dark passes are also available which include a two course dinner at Felons Bistro. Inquiries and bookings can be made with reception at the Park and the Historic Site is an easy five minute drive away. Remarkable Cave All year round True to its name, Remarkable Cave is a breathtaking lookout and Cave, only a short 10 minute drive from Pork Arthur Holiday Park. A perfect self-drive for all vehicles, winding through lush countryside with ocean backdrops, it is ideal for the Winter months. Directions: Stay on the A9 Arthur Highway, watch for the left hand turn into Safety Cove Road. Follow this road through the Port Arthur Township all the way to the end, where you will find Remarkable Cave. Eaglehawk Neck Markets are held on the second The markets Saturday of the month from 9:30-12:30pm. Located at the Eaglehawke Neck Hall, approximately 20 Community minutes from Port Arthur Holiday Park, the markets are a great place to enjoy fresh, local produce, homemade preserves and sauces, craftwork, books, bric-a-brac and plenty of hot food. There is also live music, a raffle, lucky dips and lots more. All visitors are encouraged to experience this lovely community market. Tasman Island Cruises 9:15 am or 1:15pm daily Bookings essential This award winning three hour wilderness cruise travels beneath the highest vertical sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere at Cape Pillar and explores waterfalls, rock formations, archways and deep-sea caves. Even during the Winter months you will be able to see gannets, albatross, sea eagles, peregrine falcons, cormorants or pods of playful dolphins. Tasman Cruises is situation only a few minute from Port Arthur Holiday Park and tickets can be conveniently purchased from reception at the Park. Fortescue Bay to Cape Hauy A well formed walking track that takes you to the end of Cape Hauy in the Tasman National Park, one of the most distinctive landmarks of the Tasman Peninsula. The end of the Cape has been sliced up like a loaf of bread to form the two rounded islands called “The Lanterns”, and the tall, narrow “Candlestick”. Tucked away next to the Candlestick is the famous “Totem Pole” an unbelievably narrow spire of rock, completely surrounded by treacherous water. Treat yourself at the chocolate factory A visit to the family-run Federation Chocolate Factory and Museum is not one you will forget any time soon. Since opening in 2004, the factory has developed a diverse range of chocolate flavours, many of which are unique to the factory. For a new taste sensation we suggest trying the dark chocolate brandied apricot, or for those less willing, there are plenty of delicious other flavours to choose from. Outstanding features of the building itself include the convict sandstone masonry, Tasmanian Blackwood floors and a huge pine table milled from a single tree trunk.
