My Favorite Activity Outside of School
My Favorite Activity outside of school is to go fishing with my son. I enjoy fishing with my son because
it allows us to spend time together, in a relaxed atmosphere doing something that we both enjoy. I do
this activity with my son, and sometimes my wife joins us, his grandfather often joins us also. We usually
go fishing about once every other week during the Fall, Winter, and Spring months. I’ve been fishing
since I was a young boy, and my son started fishing with me when he was about 1 year old. I remember
taking him out on his first fishing adventure to Lake Okeechobee in south Florida. When I was about 12
years old, I begin regularly fishing with my childhood friend. There was a big creek that ran behind our
houses and we would spend hours at a time fishing in this creek. Fishing is a fun sport that allows me to
focus my attention on something that I like to do, and I also enjoy the surprise of what I might catch. I
never know what type of fish will be on my hook, and sometimes I catch a big fish that is difficult to land.
