This year, all juniors are going to be required to take the
ACT on Tuesday, April 28th.
There will be a make-up test day on Tuesday, May 12th.
The test will be given during the school day.
There will be no charge for this exam.
It is important to take the test seriously! Scores from
this test CAN be used for college admission purposes.

term. It is cumulative, including all of your

GPA is figured on a 12-point scale (GPA points

The counselors strongly recommend that students take a college
placement test in the spring of junior year.
This allows time to review the scores and determine if additional
testing will be necessary in the fall of senior year.
SAT Subject Tests
• Required by some highly selective colleges
• One-hour tests on a variety of subjects such as
American History, Mathematics, and Chemistry
• Can take one, two, or three tests in one day
• Juniors taking AP examinations might consider
taking SAT Subject Tests in spring of junior year
• SAT and SAT Subject Tests cannot be taken on
the same day
