Girls Golf will be selling T-shirts until March 31st. They are available online at
alabamashirtfactory.com. The T-shirts are blue comfort color. Short sleeve is $15 and long
sleeve is $20. Flyers will be hanging up around the school with the web address and prices.

Seniors are you interested in attending the University of South Alabama? If so, a representative
will be here Thursday, March 2nd at 8:45 for an instant decision day. This means you could
possibly get acceptance to South on the spot. If you would like to see the representative, come
and sign up in the guidance office.
Join Book Club tomorrow morning at 7:35 in room 177 to discuss Hidden Figures by Margot Lee
Shetterly. Bring a friend and some breakfast and join us to discuss a great book!
There is a Key Club meeting this Thursday Before and after school in Mr. Johnson’s room.
Attention Seniors: Do you have a great idea for the design for your Senior Shirt? If so, please
come by Ms. Oatts’ room (223) to grab an information sheet and learn how to submit your ideas
and designs. All designs must be submitted to Ms. Oatts no later than Friday, March 10th.
The Beta Club is raising money for the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter! Please bring your
unwanted, gently used shoes and drop them off in any of the boxes placed around the school.
The shelter gets money for the shoes, so please dig through your closets and donate your
unwanted shoes!
All self-guided volleyball clinics have been cancelled.
The talent show is today at 4PM. Tickets will be sold in the lunchroom & at the door. Tickets are
$5. There are some great acts & door prizes. See Ms. Oatts (223) with questions.
Tryouts for the NHS Volleyball team will be March 7th & 8th in the NHS gym from 4 PM – 7 PM.
Any current spring athlete will have tryouts on Sunday, March 5th from 2 PM – 5 PM. All
students trying out must have a completed Volleyball Sports Packet turned in to Ms. Oatts by
3:30 PM on March 2nd. Packets can be found outside of Ms. Oatts room (223). See Ms. Oatts
with any questions.
AP Exam registration will be the week of March 6th thru March 10th! Come by and see Mrs.
Wolbach in the counselors’ suite if you have any questions & to register!
We are excited to announce we will be offering the ACT boot camp again this year! All 11th
graders have been assigned a day, either March 28th or March 29th. Assignments have been
posted outside the counselors’ office on a yellow banner. You must speak with Mrs. Wolbach if
you have any schedule conflicts with your time slot. Open seats will be given to 9th, 10th & 12th
graders, first priority for those testing on April 9th, then first come first served until all seats have
been filled!
11th grade young women interested in representing NHS at Girls State, come by Mrs. Wolbach’s
office in the counselors’ suite for an application.
Wanted all athletes, entertainers, and future business owners. Sign up for Sports &
Entertainment Marketing Classes and Business Essentials. Avenge your grade by learning about
Marvel Studios. See flyers in the hallway for course numbers. This announcement was approved
and endorsed by “Captain” Carter Hill, Coach “Thor” Vickery and Basketball Coach Brantley.

scholarship portfolios for college, and participate in classroom events that support Northridge
athletics and Fine Arts-Drama Club. Our class is a Career Technical course that is taught on
Northridge campus. For more information contact Mrs. Fuller room 113.
AKA Sorority is offering a $1500 scholarship. There are applications in the guidance office. The
deadline to apply is March 27, 2017.
The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) is pleased to announce a scholarship contest open to all public
students grades 9-12 attending high school in Tuscaloosa County where prizes totaling $5000
will be awarded to winning participants.
Interested participants should see Mrs. Tillman in room 108 for details. Submission deadline is
Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
The Art Club will NOT be meeting today after school due to the Talent Show!
