Students zoned for Lyman or Lake Brantley may attend summer school at Lyman. Students zoned for Seminole or Crooms may attend summer school at Seminole. Students Zoned for Lake Mary may attend summer school at Lake Mary. Students zoned for Oviedo or Hagerty may attend summer school at Oviedo. Students zoned for Lake Howell or Winter Springs may attend summer school at Winter Springs. Magnet school students may attend summer school at their magnet school or their zoned high school’s designated summer school site. Courses will be offered via PLATO on-line learning in a computer lab and virtual school (Virtual School application required). Only Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Transition, Driver Education and ESOL will meet face-to-face. Algebra 1 and Algebra 1 Honors may also be taken as a PLATO or virtual course. Virtual school applications are available in the guidance office. Student applications must be returned to their zone school by Friday April 21, 2017. Late registration will be held at each summer school site on June 1, 2017 for Session 1 and June 20, 2017 for Session 2. During late registration students will be placed in classes on a space available basis. No student shall be permitted to register and begin classes after the first day of each session. Further decisions regarding hardship cases will be determined at the discretion of the Principal or his/her designee. Transition Program Each high school will host a transition program on their campus. Transportation will be provided for Transition students at all sites. Bus stop to be established by the SCPS Transportation Department. Discipline In order to complete the required instructional time, discipline problems will not be tolerated during summer school. Students with discipline problems will be dismissed from summer school. Students are expected to adhere to the Student Conduct and Discipline Code rules and regulations during summer school.
