When Can I Park?
There is a variety of both private and Council operated
off-street car parks throughout the city, with some
controlled by time limits while others offer unrestricted
parking, so please check the signage in each car parking area.
Pay and display parking meters operate on-street in the
Ipswich City Centre from:
•
•
To
Brisbane
8.00 am - 5.00 pm | Monday - Friday
8.00 am - 11.30 am | Saturdays
Outisde these times and on public holidays parking is free,
however, other parking restrictions may still apply, so you
should always check the information on the parking signs.
Some Key Parking Signs
There are many different parking restriction signs. Some
common signs and their meanings are listed below.
Indicative only, map subject to change.
Map current as of July 2014.
Parking time limits apply as indicated on the sign,
these parking zones require payment if the word
‘METER’ is displayed.
A driver must not stop on a length of road to
which a no stopping sign applies. Alternatively,
there may be a yellow edge line which also means
no stopping. These lines can be used either on
their own or together with the no stopping signs.
Any vehicle is permitted to stand in a loading zone
for up to 20 minutes when dropping-off/pickingup goods or for up to 2 minutes if dropping-off/
picking-up passengers.
