There is a variety of both private and Council operated off-street car parks throughout the city, with some controlled by time limits while others offer unrestricted parking, so please check the signage in each car parking area. Pay and display parking meters operate on-street in the Ipswich City Centre from: • • To Brisbane 8.00 am - 5.00 pm | Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 11.30 am | Saturdays Outisde these times and on public holidays parking is free, however, other parking restrictions may still apply, so you should always check the information on the parking signs. Some Key Parking Signs There are many different parking restriction signs. Some common signs and their meanings are listed below. Indicative only, map subject to change. Map current as of July 2014. Parking time limits apply as indicated on the sign, these parking zones require payment if the word ‘METER’ is displayed. A driver must not stop on a length of road to which a no stopping sign applies. Alternatively, there may be a yellow edge line which also means no stopping. These lines can be used either on their own or together with the no stopping signs. Any vehicle is permitted to stand in a loading zone for up to 20 minutes when dropping-off/pickingup goods or for up to 2 minutes if dropping-off/ picking-up passengers.
