Day 8 Volume of a Pyramid and Cone note

VOLUME OF A PYRAMID
ACTIVITY
In your groups, you will need to create 6 identical square based pyramids.
• The base of each pyramid will be 8 cm by 8 cm.
• The vertical height will be 4 cm.
4 cm
Step 1 Start by drawing a net
8 cm
It is important to draw your net measurements accurately!!!!
We need to calculate the slant height to be able to create a vertical height of 4 cm.
8 cm
Step 2
Cut the net out carefully.
Step 4
Step 3
Tape together to create a pyramid.
Once you have all 6 pyramids, try to fit them all together to make another 3D shape.
