It is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the 2014 EUMA Training Day. The topic of this year
is Effective Presentation Skills.
In this training you will receive the tools and techniques to set up an inspiring powerpoint
presentation and to present this in a professional way. This training will cover the hard skills (how to
make interesting slides) and the soft skills (how to present them in an impressive way). Effective
presentations are important in business, whether you are a management assistant or a manager. But
you need to develop the confidence and capability to give good presentations and to stand up in front of
an audience.
Everyone can put text and pictures in slides, but to make the message clear you need this EUMA
Training!
Is it possible to make dull material engaging by great powerpoint presentations? Yes, it is. Come to the
next EUMA Training Day in Cologne!

Get an impressive insight into the bacchanal life that the former Elector and Cologne Archbishop led in
his splendid official Augustusburg Palace and Falkenlust Hunting Lodge or quiet refuge.
When the Archbishop as the ruler of Cologne was banished from the city at the end of the 13th century,
Brühl developed into one of his most important residences. Instead of the mediaeval castle, during the
baroque period a magnificent palace was constructed which continues to dominate the scene to this
day.
The Brühl palaces, Augustusburg as the main building and Falkenlust as a hunting lodge and refuge,
impressively demonstrate the then extravagant life at the court of the Electors – and
Cologne archbishops.
When you climb the staircase in Schloss Augustusburg created by Balthasar Neumann, do not be
surprised that many a famous guest of state has been received here, not least, Queen Elizabeth II of
England, Pope Johannes Paul II, or Mikhail Gorbachev. Nature lovers will possibly prefer to take a look
at the extensive baroque gardens and park.

Cologne Cathedral is one of the world’s largest cathedrals and home to the relics of the Three Kings.

Since autumn 2000, the cathedral treasure is presented in the reconstructed historic underground
vaults from the 13th century on the north side of the Cathedral. A 500 square metre exhibition area
features precious reliquaries, liturgical artefacts and garments as well as insignia of archbishops and
cathedral clergy from the 4th to the 20th century, medieval sculptures and Frankish grave finds.
