Introduction to different branches of botany (conventional and recent). Basic Plant Structure: Diversity in plant structure across different groups. Introduction to plant parts and basic plant tissues. General anatomy of angiosperm : stem, root and leaf. Unit II Bacteria: Group characters, occurrence, morphological forms and economic importance.
