o Every fraction represents a decimal
o Dividend, Divisor, and Quotient
 Dividend = top number, Divisor = bottom number, Quotient = answer.
Converting Fractions and Mixed Numbers to Decimals
o Using a calculator
o Repeating decimals. What are they and how to write them (Repetend)
Rewriting Decimals as Fractions and Mixed Numbers
o 2.25 = 2 ¼
o 6.002 = 6 1/500
o 10.101 = 10 101/1000
Converting a Fraction Containing a Decimal to a Simple Fraction
o .36 / 2.32 = 36 / 232 = 9 / 58
Show them the chart on page 163. These are the fractions to decimals that they should begin
learning (these are the ones they put on their flash cards). Practice Quiz on Friday.
