Shot Bro is a mixture of comedy and pathos.
Using his utility belt of tools like stand-up comedy, expert dance moves, mime and
puppetry, Rob unfolds his depression in an entertaining yet insightful way, shining
light on a traumatic event - you will hear why he ended up being Shot Bro.
Using humour to dig into the darkness and bring depression into the light, this show
will entertain and empower people, provoke thought and discussion, and bring our
communities closer together.
After the show a forum will be facilitated by a qualified health professional. We can
then kōrero some more with kai.
‘Shot Bro - Confessions of a Depressed Bullet’ intends to provide a platform to
exchange thoughts and knowledge on a kaupapa that quietly affects the lives of
many people, by former Northland Polytechnic trained actor, writer; Rob Mokaraka.
Your involvement will further the show’s development - assisting us towards our goal
of touring to communities throughout New Zealand and internationally.
