Congratulations to our
5th grade student, Macy
Tackabury! She is the
winner of the “Walk for
Warmth t-shirt contest. Her drawing will be on all the shirts this
year. She also earned her classroom a $50 gift
card from Walmart for school supplies and will
receive a free t-shirt along with her teacher, Ms.
Scramlin, and her parents. Great Job Macy!
Thank you to the BKCS Drama Club. They donated $200 to the Immaculate
Conception Food Pantry from the proceeds of their play.
It’s that time of year. Per the “Illness Policy” in the School Policy Book: Students must be fever free for 24 hours without medication to return to school.
Also, please keep them home 24 hours after vomiting. Thank you for helping
us keep the students and staff healthy.
RECESS: Students will go outside for recess if the temperature is
above 0°. Please make sure they have their coats, boots, snow
pants, hats and gloves.

Once again we have the opportunity to take students and parents to the Catholic Schools
Week Mass. The Mass celebrated by Archbishop Vigneron is very special and there are
representatives attending from each school in the Archdiocese. If you and your child/
children would like to attend this Mass, please fill out the form below and return it to the
school office by Friday, January 27th. Parents will be responsible for transporting their
own children to the Mass.
The 3rd Quarterly Tuition

We will be selling t-shirts with the “Catholic Schools Week—In and Around the D” logo on the front and
Bishop Kelley Catholic School on the back. The shirts sell for $10. Bishop Kelley will receive $2 and the
Capuchin Soup Kitchen will receive $2 for every shirt sold. There will be a “special” jeans day for students
that purchase this shirt. All orders are due by Monday, January 9th, 2017.

Family Fun Night Carnival/Dance
If you were able to make it last year, you know it was an Amazing Family Night Out!! If this is your first year attending,
prepare to have a Crazy Fun-Filled Night!! It takes a lot of Helpers to make all of the Crazy Fun Activities run
smoothly throughout the Night, so please consider Volunteering. Many Volunteering Spots are Available. There is
Something for Everyone!
A few people are also needed BEFORE the Carnival to help with
Picking up the Bounce House (Truck Needed) and Pizza.
Carnival Shifts are set up in Hour intervals and it’s a great way to earn your Raiders Hours! Students needing Service
