SECTION 505

SHOW: 8:00 AM, Saturday, November 26 – John Deere Sale Arena
Bulls may begin arrival at 8:00 AM, Saturday, November 19. All bulls must be in pens by 2:00 PM, Thursday,
November 24. Bulls included in Yard displays must be in by Monday, November 21.
SHOW RULES
1. All entries are subject to the General Rules and Regulations of Canadian Western Agribition. Please refer
to these rules and read them carefully.
2. Bulls may be washed, brushed, and clipped in pens, however, no trim chutes permitted in the Stock
Exchange. No aerosol or paint.
3. Entries accompanied by fees must be received by October 1.
4. Entry Fee:
a. Pen of Three Bulls: $300.00/pen. Non-refundable. GST payable on all fees. Includes $50.00 entry
into the People’s Choice jackpot, hosted by Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association.
b. Pens of Three Bulls stalled in the Yards pen: $100.00/pen. Non-refundable. GST payable on all
fees. Manual entry only – contact CWA office for entry form. Includes $50.00 entry into People’s
Choice and $50.00 show entry. Bulls in yard displays must be in by Monday, November 21.
5. Eligible Animals: All bulls must have been born the property of the exhibitor or breeding unit and must
be registered and tattooed:
a. Pens of Three Bulls, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
b. Pens of Three Bulls, born 2015.
6. Weighing: All bulls will be weighed as unloaded, Wednesday, November 23, 8:00 – 10:00 AM, and after
4:00 PM with commercial cattle. No weighing on Tuesday, November 22.
7. Classes: After arrival at Agribition, bulls will be designated to classes according to average age in days.
8. Wood chip base will be supplied by Agribition.
9. Exhibitors are required to provide necessary equipment for feeding and watering.
10. Depending on number of entries in the Commercial Cattle Show, all efforts will be made to
accommodate all animals in the barn. However, if necessary, some may be housed outside.
11. Agribition stall cards will be provided for all bulls. These cards must be displayed in their entirety.
12. Animals may only be shown once. Halters may be left on junior bulls, but they will be shown loose,
however, all long yearling bulls must be haltered at all times and shown with either a ring or a nose lead.
For safety reason, long yearling bulls are to be led at all times. Pens will enter and be shown as a group.
13. Each pen will be allotted a show number. Exhibitors must wear this number in the front and back of a
show harness while showing.
14. In order to qualify for a breed show, a breed must have a minimum of three pens shows, consisting of
any combination (calves or yearlings). Breeds not qualifying for a breed show will be put into an
interbreed show.
15. Bulls entered in the Bull Pen Alley Show can be released after the Commercial Cattle Sale, Saturday,
November 26.
16. The Supreme Champion will be paraded at the beginning of the sale. Exhibitors must be present to
parade their bulls. Any exhibitor not in attendance is subject to CWA disciplinary action. All other bulls
entered in the Bull Pen Alley Show are eligible to sell by private treaty.
PRIZE MONEY
$200.00 is offered to the Grand Champion pens, providing three or more pens are exhibited per breed. Any
additional prize money will be determined by the respective breed associations.

ANGUS BULLS
1. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
2. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born in 2015.
3. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Angus Bulls – Rosettes.
The Saskatchewan Angus Association will award a special jacket to the Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls,
provided the winners are Angus bulls.
CHAROLAIS BULLS
4. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
5. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born in 2015.
6. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Charolais Bulls.
Prize Money: Sponsored by the Saskatchewan and Canadian Charolais Association – will be determined
following the show.
The Saskatchewan and Canadian Charolais Association will award the Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls,
provided the winners are Charolais bulls. Award will be determined after the show.
GELBVIEH BULLS:
7. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.

provided the winners are Hereford bulls.
LIMOUSIN BULLS
13. Pen of Three Bulls, Fullblood, Purebred, or 7/8, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
14. Pen of Three Bulls, Fullblood, Purebred, or 7/8, born in 2015.
15. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Limousin Bulls.
MAINE-ANJOU BULLS
16. Pen of Three Bulls: 7/8, Purebred, or Fullblood, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
17. Pen of Three Bulls: 7/8, Purebred, or Fullblood, born in 2015.
18. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Maine-Anjou Bulls.
The Saskatchewan Maine-Anjou Association will award a jacket to the Grand Champion Pen of Bulls, provided
the winners are Maine-Anjou bulls.
SHORTHORN BULLS
19. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
20. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born in 2015.
21. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Shorthorn Bulls – Rosettes.
Prize Money: Sponsored by the Saskatchewan Shorthorn Association, and will be determined after the show.
The Saskatchewan Shorthorn Association offers a $250.00 certificate for credit to the exhibitor of the Supreme
Champion Pen of Bulls. This award is made provided the winners are Shorthorn bulls. This credit may be used
toward purchase of Shorthorn animals at any Shorthorn sanctioned sale in Saskatchewan within one year.
SIMMENTAL BULLS
22. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born January 1 – April 30, 2016.
23. Pen of Three Purebred Bulls, born in 2015.
24. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Simmental Bulls.
The Saskatchewan Simmental Association will award $500.00 to Supreme Champion and $250.00 to the
Reserve Supreme Champion Pens of Bulls, provided the winners are Simmental bulls.
25. Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls: All Grand Champion Pens to compete.
BULL PEN ALLEY SPECIALS
The Saskatchewan Angus Association will award a special jacket to the Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls,
provided the winners are Angus bulls.
The Saskatchewan and Canadian Charolais Association will award the Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls,
provided the winners are Charolais bulls. Award will be determined after the show.
The Saskatchewan Hereford Association will award a Champion Jacket to the Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls,
provided the winners are Hereford bulls.
The Saskatchewan Maine-Anjou Association will award a jacket to the Grand Champion Pen of Bulls, provided
the winners are Maine-Anjou bulls.
The Saskatchewan Shorthorn Association offers a $250.00 certificate for credit to the exhibitor of the Supreme
Champion Pen of Bulls. This award is made provided the winners are Shorthorn bulls. This credit may be used
toward purchase of Shorthorn animals at any Shorthorn sanctioned sale in Saskatchewan within one year.
The Saskatchewan Simmental Association will award $500.00 to Supreme Champion and $250.00 to the
