by Genevieve Montgomerie. Genevieve
between social realism and a contemporary take on the techniques
of the Old Masters. Painterly yet smooth, inviting yet intimately
personal reflections... her works are a testament to the light, depth,
moods, possibilities and energies of the cleansing 'Water of Life'
she finds herself immersed in.
Originally from Melbourne, Genevieve came to live in Western
Australia in 1997. Discovering the incredible, intoxicating colour of
the Indian Ocean and what magic it shed upon Perth's coastline,
Genevieve immersed herself into sketching and painting it, which
continues to bring her endless inspiration.

SPRING TIME IN THE CAPE
November is the end of the whale season as the humpbacks, southern
right and blue whales complete their migration pattern. WhaleWatch
tours have an offer for our guests who book a whale watch tour
departing from Augusta or Busselton during the month of November.
Receive 10% discount on your booking when you experience the
thrill of sighting these magnificent ocean giants up close and personal in
the pristine waters of the South West coastline, all in the safety of a
luxury vessel. To book call 1300 388 893, or Dial 2 from your room
for Reception.
During the month of November, our reptilian friends are
awakening from their slumber, so you may see small lizards
or snakes on the move in the grounds of the resort. The black
lizards are the
an omnivorous reptile that
eats vegetation and insects.
Also found at this time are Blue-tongued skinks, also
known as bob-tail lizards, who love eating snails, beetles and
spiders. These reptiles are quite harmless to humans, and are
important to the ecology of the resort.
Please be careful of the snakes you may encounter in the
resort grounds the highly venomous dugite and tiger
snakes are native to this region, and whilst they usually
move away from human activity, at this time of year they are
wanting to hunt and bask in the heat of the sun.
Do not venture into garden beds where you cannot see
clearly and keep your villa doors closed if you are not in your
room. Should you encounter a snake, please move away
from it and contact Reception, as we have a snake wrangler
on staff. Dial 2 from your room for Reception.
