a Great place for to start BARBER The Barber program is an evening-only program. Classes are offered on a year-round basis in order to meet the state requirement for completion. Training during the first semester is an introduction to all subject areas and is achieved through theory and a lab setting. Intermediate and advanced training is the combination of theory pertaining to barbering and lab training which is achieved through a clinical set up with students working on patrons and/or mannequins. Note: Colorado State Agency requires a minimum of 50 credit hours and/or 1500 clock hours. Students will be prepared for the Colorado State Licensing Exam and upon meeting school requirements for receiving a certificate, may be eligible to register for the State Licensing Exam. Courses are taught concurrently, not individually, through competency-based, theory and practical instruction. Students must complete all coursework with a grade of “C” or better certifying as ready for state licensure testing. Courses are evaluated by examination and demonstration.
