BARBER
The Barber program is an evening-only program. Classes are offered on a year-round basis
in order to meet the state requirement for completion. Training during the first semester is
an introduction to all subject areas and is achieved through theory and a lab setting.
Intermediate and advanced training is the combination of theory pertaining to
barbering and lab training which is achieved through a clinical set up with students
working on patrons and/or mannequins.
Note: Colorado State Agency requires a minimum of 50 credit hours and/or 1500 clock
hours. Students will be prepared for the Colorado State Licensing Exam and upon meeting
school requirements for receiving a certificate, may be eligible to register for the State
Licensing Exam. Courses are taught concurrently, not individually, through
competency-based, theory and practical instruction. Students must complete all
coursework with a grade of “C” or better certifying as ready for state licensure testing.
