PALS advise and support users of the
NHS and provides information on NHS
services. PALS also listen to concerns,
suggestions, queries or complaints
about the care given and help resolve
problems quickly on behalf of NHS

What you can expect
You will be greeted by our team of
friendly reception staff. Please inform
the reception staff of any changes to:

You will be seated in the
appropriate area for clinic

Your clinic nurse / clinic support
worker will introduce themselves

You may be weighed and have
other observations taken and
recorded in your notes prior to
being seen by a doctor

Are you having trouble
remembering what was said to
you at your appointment?
We should maintain your privacy
and dignity at all times

Clinics can be delayed, so you
should expect to be kept informed
of how late the clinic may be
running
The Carer’s Lounge offers help, support
and information to carers of all ages.
Sometimes it is difficult to remember what
was said to you at clinic.
It is open from Monday to Friday from
11am until 6pm.
Please let the doctor / nurse know that you
may need help remembering what was
said.
It is located in the corridor signposted
Committee Room.
We have a reminder information sheet we
can complete for you.
