The MuttMinster Dog Show is a fun event to highlight the beauty, diversity, and intelligence of all dogs – and the joys of
pet adoption.
To be eligible, your dog must:
• Be a loved family pet. It can be mixed breed or pure breed.
• Be house-trained and socialized.
• Have proof of current vaccinations.

Registration forms must be received by April 25, 2017, along with the $25 entry fee (includes 2 admission tickets).
Spectators can purchase admission tickets at the door for $5 (includes 5 Best of Show voting tickets).
After receiving your registration form and fee, you will receive a confirmation email and event details. Your armband
with your dog’s entry number will be given at check-in.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
MuttMinster is a fundraising event organized by HART for Animals, Inc. celebrating the anniversary of the HART
Adoption Wing. This fun dog show is open to all dogs, but also highlights the diversity and charm of adopted ones. All
funds raised go directly to saving homeless cats and dogs.
DOG HANDLERS MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE OR ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT
What is my dog’s group?
Since this is a show for all dogs, we have
created 6 broad groups and you probably
can make a case for your dog to be in
more than one group. Don’t worry - there
are no “breed” standards used to select
our winners. Points are awarded for
obedience, looks, and audience vote. (For

NOTE: These breeds are only
used as an example.
Group 1 – PUPPY GROUP: All breeds
between 16 weeks and 6 months of age.
Group 2 – TOY GROUP: All breeds up to 15
pounds. Typical mixes included but are
not limited to Chihuahua, Yorkshire
Terrier, Pomeranian, Jack Russell, Pup,
Miniature Pinscher, etc.
Group 3 – TERRIER GROUP: Fox Terrier,
Westy, Staffordshire, Scotty, Jack Russell,
Yourkshire, Cairn, etc.
Group 4 – SPORTING GROUP: Cocker Spaniel,
German Shorthair Pointer, Labrador
Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Irish Setter,
Weimaraner, Vizla, etc.
Group 5 – WORKING/ HERDING GROUP:
Husky, Doberman, Pinscher, Great Dane,
Bernese Mountain Dog, Boxer, Mastiff,
Rottweiler, St. Bernard, Coon Hound,
Basset Hound, Beagle, Greyhound, Cattle
Dog, Collie, Australian Shepherd,
Mailinois, Sheepdog, Corgi, German
Shepherd, etc
Group 6 – Seniors:
All breeds 8 years-old+.

**Because it is a Federal law, a Rabies certificate or proof of must be faxed, emailed, or attached to this registration form. Distemper and
Bordetella are encouraged and should be attached as well. If you are a HART client (Bredel Clinic, MuttWorks, Bed ‘n Bark Inn) and your
dog is current with their vaccinations, proof of vaccines is not necessary.
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
It is my wish to participate in the MuttMinster Show being held

appreciate, and acknowledge that property damage and
injuries are common to such events. I fully assume the risk of
such property damage and injuries, and I participate in this
voluntarily and with my full knowledge of the inherent risks.

I hereby waive and release any and all rights that either my
heirs, successors and assigns or I may have against Garrett
College, HART for Animals, its Board of Directors, their agents,
servants, and/or employees, arising from my participation in
this event, including, but not limited to property damage and
injuries. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless all of
the foregoing from any claim which may be made by me or on
my behalf by other third parties which might be made against
me by others, arising from my participation in the foregoing
event.
In addition to the release and waiver of liability, signing this
form acknowledges that you have read and fully understand
that the MuttMinster Show is a fundraiser for the purpose of
raising funds for homeless animals.
This waiver shall remain valid and may not be unilaterally
rescinded by the participant. This form is to be signed by
I acknowledge that I may be exposing my dog to possible canine
communicable diseases and that HART recommends dogs be
fully vaccinated, as advised by a veterinarian.
By registering as a participant, I grant HART for Animals, Inc.,
and the MuttMinster committee, all sponsors affiliated with the
event, its successors and assigns and those acting under its
permission, the right to use my name and use, re-use, transfer,
sell, copyright and publish for any and all commercial purposes
whatsoever, any and all likenesses of myself, my family or
minors accompanying me or my property, or other
reproductions of me and my property, in or on any media or
format, wither in conjunction with or without my name.
