Regarding heating
Are you freezing? Your individual rooms should hold 21 degrees (Celsius) and the floor at least 16˚ - this
is the Swedish standard for rental apartments.
If it’s cold in your room, please check that the thermostat is turned to max. If there is no thermostat in
your room the settings have already been made. If you think it’s colder than 21 degrees in your room
please use an indoor thermometer (there should be one in your kitchen) and measure the temperature.
If your room is below 21 degrees – make a fault report!
You also need to be aware that no furniture, blanket, fabrics or other things should be placed in front of
the radiator; otherwise the warm air can’t circulate properly.
Since the heating is controlled by the outside temperature, it sometimes takes a few days for the
heating to adjust in the beginning of the Autumn (due to sudden temperature changes). We ask you to
please show some patience.
However, you think that your room is colder than 21 degrees, please note that you can lend a
thermometer from the housing office in order to measure the heating, you will receive instructions with
the thermometer.
