CFSA Annual Affiliation Fees
Please note that the 31st January is the deadline for clubs and personal members to pay there
affiliation fees, thus ensuring their continued membership for 2017.
All clubs taking up the £5 million public liability shore insurance should furnish me with a list of
their members names to ensure cover.
Please note the insurance premium is £60 with the fees for affiliation and FOM Boat & Shore
unchanged for 2017.
Return of Awards
Would all members who were awarded cups and trophies in 2016 please contact myself on
07814989707 to arrange for their return.
They were presented in a clean condition so please return them in a clean condition thus ensuring
they can be sent to the engravers in good time for the 2017 presentation.
2017 Presentation & Buffet Evening
This will be held at the St Dennis Working Man’s Club on Saturday 1 st April commencing at
7.30pm.
Application for tickets will be sent to all clubs in the near future, a raffle will be held on the evening
and Senior members attending are invited to bring along a prize i.e any unwanted Xmas presents !
2017 Bass Regulations
These Regulations have now been set by the European Council and approved by the UK
Fisheries Minister Mr George Eustace.
Between January 1st and June 30th NO BASS may be retained by the Recreational Sea Angler.
Between July1st and December 31st only one Bass per day may be retained by the Recreational
Sea Angler above the 42cm minimum length.
The complete measures on Sea Bass Fisheries for 2017 are included with this news letter.
Also included with this newsletter is a summary of the 2016 CFSA Recorders Meeting regarding
weight changes, members now allowed to use in all fishing up to 3 rods and 3 hooks and the
recording through catch and release of Bass, Bull Huss, all Ray Species, Sharks, smoothHounds,
and Tope.
Loe Bar
Loe Bar has again produced some excellent fish this winter but a reminder to all who fish the
mark, please park with consideration , i.e. do not park across gateways or block access to fields ,
and if you fish the Bar or anywhere in Cornwall please clean up after yourself on the conclusion of
fishing activities, TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME !
Be warned, access to any fishing mark is under pressure of closure if not treated with respect !
