ABI Portal Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Where do I get help?
For help, please call your school’s office and ask for ABI Portal help.
2. How do I see my student’s grades?
To see student Grades, see the instructions on the District Website under Parent Resources, Grades and
Attendance, How do I login after I have created an account?
3. What do the grades A, B, C, D, F and I mean?
Here are the Grade Achievement descriptions:
A=Outstanding Achievement (4.0 grade points)
B=Above Average Achievement (3.0 grade points)
C=Average Achievement (2.0 grade points)
D=Below Average Achievement (1.0 grade points)
F=Little or No Achievement (0.0 grade points)
I=Incomplete (0.0 grade points)
4. How do I read the Attendance screen?
To see what the Attendance Codes mean, scroll to the bottom of the Attendance screen. You will see the
code descriptions.
5. Can I print out the grades?
Yes, to print out the grade report screen, while in the Grade screen, go to File (upper left corner), to
Print.
6. Can I email the teacher?
Yes, to Email a teacher, go to the Student Info tab, to Class Schedule; in the furthest right column, click
on the Email link for the appropriate period/teacher.
7. Why can’t I login?
To login, it is very important that you remember your email and password when you create your
account. If you remember your email address, you can type it in the Email box at the login screen, and
then click on the Forgot your Password? link in the bottom right corner of the login screen. Follow the
screen instructions. If you still cannot access the Portal, please contact the school office and ask for
ABI Portal help.
8. How many credits does my student have?
To see your student’s credits, hover over the Grades tab with the mouse, click on Graduation Status.
You will see Credits Required, Credits Completed, Credits Currently Enrolled In and Credits Still
Needed.

9. What do these
codes mean on the Grade screen?
To see what the CI and WH mean, click on the CI or WH link while in the Grade screen to see an
explanation. These codes are only used at the Middle School level.
10. What do these
codes mean on the Grade screen?
These codes are on the High School Grade screen and mean:
1st Semester Poor Work Notice
1st Semester Progress Report
2nd Poor Work Notice (from the 1st Semester)
1st Semester Grade Report, and then repeats for 2nd Semester
The Middle Schools do not use PW’s.
11. Do I need to create an additional login account for each student I have enrolled in the District?
No, to create multiple student accounts, you use the same login. Please see instructions on the District
Website under Parent Resources, Grades and Attendance, How do I login after I have created an
account?
12. What happens if my student changes schools?
If your student changes schools within the District, the accounts go with them. You do not have to
re-create their account. Student information does not go outside the District.
13. Can I change information for my student through this Portal?
No, you cannot change any information on any screen in this Portal. Please request changes through the
school site office.
14. Can my child change information through the Portal?
No, students cannot change any information, on any screen in this Portal. Please request changes
through the school site office.
15. What does my child see in their Portal?
Student accounts see exactly the same information as the Parent accounts. The portal allows parents and
students view only access to attendance data, assignments, class schedules, course requests, grades, and
unofficial transcripts.
16. Do I need to create an account every year?
No, you do not need to create an account every year. The student’s accounts stay with them as long as
they are in our District.
17. What do I do if there are no grades or assignments listed for my student?
If there are no grades or assignments listed for your student, call the school site office and ask for the
Administrator, the Vice Principal or the Counselor.
