Loveland Athletic Booster Scholarships
The Loveland Athletic Boosters will be awarding non-renewable
scholarships to graduating seniors of Loveland High School. These
scholarships are to be used to help fund higher education at an accredited
university, college or technical school.
The Athletic booster scholarships will be in increments of $1,000.00.
The following criteria will be considered in choosing recipients:
 The applicant must have completed any inter-scholastic athletic program
of Loveland High School for a minimum of 2 years.
 The applicant will have exhibited good sportsmanship, character and
integrity as recognized by their peers, teachers and coaches.
 The Scholarship committee of the Loveland Athletic Boosters will select
the recipients.
 Booster participation and membership will be used in the criteria in the
selection of our scholarships.
 Scholarships will be paid directly to the parents or legal guardians of the
recipient after the recipient has been accepted for enrollment.
To apply:
 The applicant will provide the name of the University; College or
Technical school she/he plans to attend.
 Tell the committee briefly on how you plan on financing your education.
 The applicant will provide an essay on what Athletics have meant to
them, during their time at Loveland High School.
All applications are due April 7, 2017 and MUST be submitted online.
Robert M Williams Scholarship
This Scholarship is in honor of Robert M. Williams for his contribution within
the Loveland community. Mr. Williams served the community in many
capacities. But his love of people and his involvement for athletics for his
children, grandchildren and friends will live on with this scholarship.
Robert M Williams always knew the score of life and was dedicated to the
individuals within these sports and not always the scoreboard. The Robert M
Williams Scholarship is for all Senior Athletes and Senior Sport Managers
within the Loveland High School Athletic department. As a reflection of how
“Bob” lived his life, the recipient should possess a strong moral character
that is reflected by their leadership, school spirit and positive attitude toward
their teammates and coaches.
The Scholarship is to be used to help fund higher education at an accredited
University, College or Technical school.
The Robert M Williams Scholarship will be (2) $1,000 scholarships. The
Loveland Athletic Boosters will be awarding this non-renewable scholarship.
The following criteria will be considered in choosing a recipient:
 A short 2-3 paragraph essay on what or whom inspired you during
your senior season as a player/team manager.
 A short 2-3 paragraph essay by your coach to explain to the LAB
committee your character and unselfish attitude.
 Athlete needs to have maintained a 2.5 GPA (attach your school
transcript).
All applications are due April 7, 2017 and MUST be submitted online.
Stanley McCoy Sr. Scholarships (1925-2002)
This scholarship is in honor of Stan McCoy Sr. for his contribution to the
Loveland City School District and his dedication to the children of Loveland.
Stan McCoy served Loveland as an assistant superintendent, LHS assistant
principle, athletic director, teacher and football coach and mentor.
Stan McCoy Sr. dedication and support to Loveland Athletics will continue
to live on through this scholarship in his name.
This scholarship will be given to a male or female senior athlete who has
earned a varsity letter, has maintained a minimum of a 2.7 GPA and who is
going to attend college or university and who best qualifies from their
responses to the following questions.
Please prepare a paragraph or two and answer the following questions:
 What does school pride mean to you?
 Define Sportsmanship
 What will you miss the most about your experience as a Loveland
Tiger?
 Are you a leader or follower?
The Stanley McCoy Sr. Scholarship will be 1,000 scholarship(s). The
Loveland Athletic Boosters will be awarding this non-renewable scholarship.
The Scholarship is funded through donations to the Stanley McCoy
Scholarship fund. Scholarships will be directly paid to the parents or
guardians of the recipient.
Please provide a grade transcript.
