How to Enroll a Tablet for Two Factor Authentication

This tutorial will help you enroll an Apple iPad or Android tablet such as a Samsung Galaxy Tab for use as a Two Factor Authentication device. 1. Begin by opening your browser and going to this web page: https://go.uth.edu/twofactorauthentication 2. Next, click on the ENROLLMENT tab, and select the link to the Two‐Factor Login Page located in Step 1. Sign in with your UTHealth username and password. You should get a welcome window similar to the one below. Click the START SETUP button to continue. 3. Next, select TABLET and click CONTINUE. 4. Select your tablet’s operating system, then press CONTINUE. (If you don’t have an Apple iPad, you should select ANDROID instead.) HowtoDownloadandInstalltheDUOMobileApptoYourSmartPhone

Launch the App Store app on your phone or tablet and search for “Duo Mobile.” Select GET and then tap Install to download the app. You will have to tap OK again when asked if Duo Mobile should be able to send push notifications. Open the Google Play Store app on your phone or tablet and search for “Duo Mobile.” Select Free and then tap Install to download the app. You will have to tap OK again when asked if Duo Mobile should be able to send push notifications. Once the app has been installed on your tablet, take the following steps. 1. Open Duo Mobile on your tablet. 2. Tap the + button. 3. Tap Scan Barcode (you will need to hold your tablet’s rear facing camera up to the computer screen to scan the barcode). 4. Scan the barcode using your phone’s camera. Click the CONTINUE button on your computer when the scan and device confirmation steps are complete. (If you can’t scan the barcode, click the link inside the window marked CLICK HERE and proceed.) 5. A “Device successfully enrolled” message is displayed and the phone number of the registered device is indicated on your computer. If you want to register other devices, press the Enroll another device button. Otherwise, click the “I’m done enrolling devices” button. Problems?
