“I’m not an expert, since I was only here
for 10 days, but i did have a really good
time,” says the “A Prairie Home
Companion” star, who offers these
summer specific recommendations:
1. Visit vintage clothing shops.
“I hate to shop, but my daughters
were here with me and they love
shopping, so we went. And I would say
people need to hit the vintage clothing
stores — Tatters and those stores.
We found lots of good stuff.”
2. Plan your trip during thunderstorm
season. “The thunderstorms here are
wild, nothing like the storms we see
in New York or anywhere else. When
we were here last July, we saw some
amazing storms.”
3. Nosh at Punch Pizza. “I know
people think I can’t shut up about this,
but that honestly is the best pizza I ever
ate. I went to Italy right after I finished
(’Prairie Home‘), and I didn’t find any
pizza that was as good.”
