Our holidays are so jam-packed with fun; let’s take a moment to sit back and relax. Don’t forget to bring your competitive side, but in the end the real winner is FUN! Make a list of games, activities, team names etc. Let’s make this the best sports day ever! Paper chain madness! Let’s decorate our environment with wonderful coloured paper chains. Make your own bowling kit out of recycled materials. You can even take your individual bowling kit home to continue the fun. Time: 9.30am to 10.30am There are no erasers, because there are no mistakes! Erasers are the enemy! Dive into the wonderful world of cartooning. AFTERNOON PLANNED EXPERIENCE Master builders Excursion: Fitzroy Gardens In house cinema Be a master builder this afternoon and build a Lego community. How big can we make it? Or you can create a Lego marble run. Will the marble ever get to the end? Transport: Walking Let’s sit back, relax and enjoy a movie and some popcorn. Time: 1.30pm to 3.30pm Transport: Walking Time: 1.30pm to 3.30pm Let’s explore the park and have some fun! Collect some natural materials that we can use later in exciting activities. AFTERNOON EXTENDED ACTIVITIES FOR 9-12’S Lego challenge Work together or separately to build the structure of your dreams, and then display it for everyone to see. Part of the Team captains take charge! Older children will take on the role of team captains and organise some fun games that we can all participate in and enjoy. Team building is our goal. Could you be a movie star? Have fun watching and then writing, directing or starring in your own mini movie. Let’s go deeper into animation and see what we can create. Let’s get out and about! MORNING EXTENDED ACTIVITIES FOR 9-12’S Treasure map We will divide into groups and get the older children to help design where to hide the treasure, then draw maps to help us gather as much treasure as possible. Excursion: Melbourne Central Hoyts Transport: Walking Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm Let’s go to the movies and see ‘Boss Baby’. Incursion: Toon World Time: 10.30am to 12.30am Let’s continue by making our own plasticine character don’t forget to take it home to continue the fun! MCG Stadium and Sports Museum We will have a tour of the Stadium and then visit the interactive Sports Museum. AFTERNOON PLANNED EXPERIENCE Treasure hunt Excursion: Fitzroy Gardens Transport: Walking Group 1: Time: 1.30 to 2.30pm Group 2: Time: 2.30 to 3.30pm Who is the boss? Time to create Sports stars We will review the movie and rewrite the script. What ending would you have had? We all love Hama beads… Together we will create a melted masterpiece, or get involved in plaster painting. Let your creative juices flow! We will research the sports stars of today, and some from the past. Then we will compare them and see who is the best… Have fun with a treasure hunt in the park, and don’t forget to bring your baskets so that you can carry your treasure back! AFTERNOON EXTENDED ACTIVITIES FOR 9-12’S Yummy egg decorations You are a star! Sculpture Decorate your own Easter egg biscuits. They will almost be too pretty to eat! Join up with your friends and make a movie that we can post on Storypark for all to enjoy. Everyone has a part to play! Let’s use our skills from this morning to make something amazing!
