North history. She was recognized three times as a first-team All-Mountain Valley
Conference performer, earning MVC Most Valuable Player recognition in 2008. Monae also
twice earned the MVP Award in the Delaware Valley Holiday Basketball Tournament. She

Cavalier athletic career, he earned seven varsity letters—three in football and four in
wrestling. As a 3-year starter in football, Max earned All-Mountain Valley Conference
recognition twice—selected as a 1st-team linebacker as a junior (in 2005) and as a unanimous
2-way, 1st-team selection at both tight end and linebacker as a senior (in 2006). He was also
honored as a 1st-team All-Pocono Record selection at linebacker in 2005 and both linebacker

pounds in 2007). Max was also honored with selection to the First-Team All-Pocono Record
Wrestling Team as a sophomore, junior and senior. He earned recognition as the ESHS-S
Best All-Around Athlete Award winner in 2007. Equally as impressive were his numerous
high school academic honors, including: the Mountain Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Award (in both football in 2006, and
wrestling in 2007); the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award (in 2007); the District XI
Wrestling Scholar-Athlete Award (in 2007); 3 years of ESHS-S academic honors (2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07) and selection to the
National Honor Society (2005-06 and 2006-07). Max earned a full athletic scholarship to play football at Stanford University, and
earned four varsity letters, while enjoying playing for the Cardinal in the Sun Bowl (vs. Oklahoma in 2009), in the Orange Bowl (vs.
Virginia Tech in 2011) and in the Fiesta Bowl (vs. Oklahoma State in 2012). He also served as Game Captain vs. both Notre Dame
and Washington State in 2011 and receiving All-Pac 12 Special Teams recognition in 2011. A special moment in his Stanford football
career occurred in 2011 when he blocked a 25-yard field goal attempt vs. Colorado and recovered the blocked kick, returning it 75yards for a touchdown. Max earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Science Technology and Society from Stanford University in June,
2012, and is presently employed as a Trader and Vice President of Brokerage Operations at Robinhood Financial in Palo Alto,
California.
Brian A. Caiazzo
Brian is a graduate of East Stroudsburg Area High School-North, Class of 2006. During his
Timberwolf athletic career he earned seven varsity letters—three in football and four in wrestling.
As a 3-year starter in football, Brian was named to the All-Area team twice and, as a senior, served
as team captain and won the team’s Defensive MVP Award, also earning All-Mountain Valley
Conference recognition and participating in the McDonald’s-Lehigh Valley All-Star Football
Classic. As a 4-year starter on the wrestling team he finished his career with 112 wins, most in TWolf history. Twice Brian won the Mountain Valley Conference Wrestling Tournament
Championship and, as a senior, he served as team captain, while winning the Christmas City
Wrestling Tournament Championship, winning his school’s Student-Athlete Award and earning a
bronze medal in the District XI Wrestling Tournament, thus qualifying to compete in the P.I.A.A.
Regional Wrestling Tournament. Brian earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mathematics from Bloomsburg
and East Stroudsburg Universities respectively, and today he serves as a teacher of high school mathematics in northern New Jersey,
while coaching in his school’s high school football and wrestling programs.
Joseph “Joe” Carmella
Joe was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School, Class of 1950. Shortly after graduation
from ESHS, he began a more than 25-year career as a volunteer youth baseball umpire for the
East Stroudsburg Little League. Joe quickly rose to a position of “Umpire-in-Chief,” as the
most highly respected umpire in the league’s history, officiating numerous league, regional
and state playoff and championship games (all in the capacity of a volunteer, accepting no
monetary remuneration). In 1974, Joe passed the test to become a registered Pennsylvania
Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) baseball and softball official. He served as
arguably the most respected baseball and softball official in Monroe County sports history,
requested and selected by regional baseball and softball coaches and umpires’ assignors to
officiate numerous championship games in the Centennial League, the Colonial League,
PIAA District XI, and mens’ recreational leagues for 18 years. During the late 1970’s and
mid-to-late 1980’s, Joe was selected to work East Stroudsburg State College (later ESU)
baseball and softball games, the Pennsylvania State (college) Athletic Conference softball
championships (for 7 years), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)
regional softball playoffs (for 3 years). Joe passed away in December of 1992 at the age of
61 after a year-long battle with cancer. Upon Joe’s passing, the local PIAA softball umpires’ chapter, in conjunction with the
Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, renamed the local softball umpires’ chapter the “Joe Carmella Chapter of PIAA
Softball Umpires” in honor and recognition of Joe’s dedication and excellence, and is testament of the region’s respect for his
outstanding and selfless contributions to our area’s athletes.
Terrance King
Terrance is a graduate of East Stroudsburg Area High School-North, Class of 2009. He
scored more than 900 points during his 3-year Timberwolf varsity basketball career and,
upon graduation from North, began a stellar basketball career at East Stroudsburg
University. Terrance earned four varsity basketball letters at ESU from 2009 through 2013,
leading the Warriors to the finest 4-year record in the school’s basketball history (82 wins,
37 losses; three 20-win seasons; and three NCAA tournament appearances). He was named
the 2010 PSAC East Freshman of the Year, later twice earning All-PSAC East recognition,
and won the 2012 PSAC Tournament Most Valuable Player Award (in leading the Warriors
to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship)—one of only four PSAC East
players in last 25 years to be so honored during their career. He played in a school-record
118 games and 12 postseason games and ranks 3rd in ESU history (10th in PSAC history) in
blocked shots (180), 8th in scoring (1,337), 7th in rebounds (690), 4th in field goal percentage
(56.4), 7th in field goals made (512), and 6th in free throws made (310). Terrance played
2,442 career minutes (7th most since 1990), while playing on four straight PSAC Final Four
teams, 3 NCAA Division II Tournament teams and leading the Warriors to two PSAC East
championships (2010, 2013). Upon graduation from East Stroudsburg University, he
embarked on a 3-year professional basketball career overseas, playing for UCD-Marian in
Ireland’s SuperLeague in 2013-14 (averaging 18.5 points per game, 10.4 rebounds per game
and 1.7 blocked shots per game while leading the league in field goal percentage—68.1%);
Sport Club Canadense in Argentina in 2014-15 (averaging 17.6 points per game and 8.4
rebounds per game); and Sorgues-Avignon-Le Pontet Vaucluse in Southeast France in
2015-16.
John Myers
John is a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School, Class of 1991. At ESHS, he earned four
varsity letters, two-each in football and track and field. He was a member of the 1989 and 1990
Centennial Championship football teams, earning First-Team All-Centennial League
recognition as both an offensive linemen (as a junior in 1989) and a running back (as a senior in
1990). John was selected in 1989 as a Third-Team Bigger, Stronger, Faster All-American,
while winning the Cavaliers Film Grade Award for offensive linemen. As a senior in 1990, he
was named First-Team All-Centennial League as both an offensive running back and a
defensive cornerback, while also earning First-Team All-Area and First-Team Bigger, Stronger,
Faster All-American recognition; and again winning the Cavs Film Grade Award as both an
offensive and defensive back. As a senior, he served as the Cavaliers’ team captain, while
rushing for 1,132 yards, earning the team’s Most Valuable Player Award, and was selected to
participate in the 1990 McDonalds-Lehigh Valley Football Classic all-star game. John
graduated with Honors from King’s College, Class of 1995, while earning two varsity letters in
football for the Monarchs. As both a junior (1993) and a senior (1994), he earned both AllMAC Football Team and All-Academic MAC Team recognition. John was selected to the 1994 National Coaches Association AllStar Team, participating in the organization’s All-Star Game in Cleveland, Ohio on April 22, 1994. His career statistics at King’s
College include 1,873 yards rushing (5.64 average yards per carry) with 22 touchdowns, and team honors including the team’s
Offensive MVP, Sledge Hammer Award (total hammer hits), Iron Man Award (weight room award), and Lunch Pail Award (practice
award). John later served as the running back/linebacker coach at the newly-formed JT Lambert Intermediate School from 1997 to
1999, and as the quarterback/running back coach, linebacker coach, and defensive coordinator at the newly-formed East StroudsburgNorth Senior High School from 2000 to 2013. He currently serves as assistant football coach at Wallenpaupack Area High School.
John and his wife Kelli, son Gunnar, and daughter Hunter currently reside in Lackawaxen, PA.
Christine “Chrissy” Perryman Campos
Chrissy is a graduate of East Stroudsburg Area High School, Class of 1989.
During her ESHS athletic career she earned 11 varsity letters—three in field
hockey and four-each in basketball and track & field, while season after season,
and year after year, filling the role of a quiet, yet irreplaceable spark plug and
team leader. Under Chrissy’s leadership, the Cavaliers won six Centennial
League championships (three-each in both field hockey and basketball), while
advancing to the District XI championship game in both sports—winning
District gold in field hockey (in 1987) and District silver in basketball (in 1989).
Chrissy earned All-Centennial League recognition as a senior in field hockey, as
well as being named First-Team All-Pocono Record, and was selected to
participate in the LARC Senior All-star Classic in basketball.
While
unassumingly leading her team to so many wins and championships in
basketball, Chrissy “quietly” scored more than 900 points during her 4-year
Cavalier basketball career.
