The proposal would end higher fares for Zone 2 riders in outlying suburbs. Their fare would drop

In a move towards a cashless system, there would be a surcharge
everywhere of 25 cents for paying by cash instead of using the Port
Authority ConnectCard. The authority would also eliminate paper
