The Winning Poster will be judged based on appearance, creavity and
demonstraons of the theme. The Winning Poster will be reproduced for
adversing the CTOC’s fall producon of The Jungle Book. Please see Official Rules for Entry Informaon.
School-aged children are invited to enter the Children’s Theatre of Charleston’s The Jungle
Book poster contest. The winning poster will be used to advertise the production of The Jungle
Book by the Children’s Theatre in October 2016. Prizes, a family four-pack of tickets, will be
awarded to the top finalist in each category. All entries, including the winning entries, will be
displayed at the Civic Center’s Little Theater during CTOC’s performances.

Use 12" x 18" OR 11" x 17" heavy paper or poster board ONLY (Portrait
Orientation).
Must be student’s original artwork. No signatures on posters!
No syndicated, copyrighted or clipart images on poster entries!
No computer aided or copy machine poster entries.
Please include entry information on back “upper right corner” of poster.
o Name, address, grade in school.
Reproducibility factors into the judging, so use good lettering, high contrast and bright
colors!
Entries must be received by CTOC before deadline.
Submitted posters become the property of CTOC and can be reproduced and displayed.

Poster must be an ORIGINAL concept.
Posters should be artistic, POSITIVE in approach and wording, and focus themes from
Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.
Judging:
Poster entries must be sent or delivered to the CTOC on the deadline date. The CTOC Board
Members will judge each categories posters. A finalist from each category will be selected.
From the finalist a winner will be selected. The posters are judged on:

Creativity and originality of the artwork
Appropriate theme using “positive” approach
Reproducibility
Age appropriateness for the grade category entered
