A new registrations record!

More than 50,000 runners have confirmed their registration for the 2015 Schneider Electric Paris Marathon.
It is a new record which confirms the place that the race through the capital occupies in the top 3 of the
world’s most popular 26-mile 385-yard (42.195 km) events.

The 39 edition of the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon will take place on 12 April, with Paris, a veritable
source of energy, once again offering the Champs-Elysées as backdrop to the start.
As proof of the appeal of the leading sporting event on the French calendar, foreign competitors account for
41.5% of registrations.
The promise of “running in the most beautiful city in the world” has become a must for marathon runners all
over the world!
2015 Schneider Electric Paris Marathon statistics:
- Average age of competitors: 40 years old
- One third of competitors are making their debut over the 26-mile 385-yard (42.195 km) distance
- 25% of competitors are women (an increase of 4% in comparison to 2014)
- Top 5 of nations represented: United Kingdom, USA, Spain, Italy and Germany
