Dancing Gerald Craft Objective: Students will create a dancing Gerald puppet and use it to act out the story of “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andrae. Materials Needed: popsicle sticks, markers, scissors, glue, brown finger paint, yarn, and beads. Procedure: Have students color popsicle sticks yellow (or leave them tan) Use brown finger paint to make spots with fingers Cut out giraffe head picture and color (see handout) or have students draw their own.
