Reception Information
Our students want to meet you! ALL applicants are encouraged to join current DPT students on
Friday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for an appetizer reception. The reception will occur on the
second floor bridge between Education 2 North and Education 2 South.
You will have the opportunity to talk with students to get a first-hand perspective on student life at
the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Program. Faculty members will not attend. We hope
you can fit this event into your travel plans whether your interview is on Friday or Saturday. Stay
tuned for an electronic invitation from current students in upcoming weeks!
Homestay Information
A few of our students have offered to host applicants in their homes for a one night homestay on
Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. For further information about availability of a student-hosted
homestay night, please email Betti Krapfl at [email protected].
Shadow a Lab or Lecture!
There will not be an opportunity to observe a lecture or lab during the interview, because our
current students do not have class scheduled on Friday, January 23rd. If you will be near our
campus prior to or after interviews and would like to shadow a lecture or lab, please contact Betti
Krapfl at [email protected].

Tour Information
A tour of the Anschutz Medical Campus is included in the interview schedule. The
campus tour is led by current students and has consistently been a highlight for our interviewees.
Anschutz Medical Campus Tour
Each interview day, morning and afternoon
interviewees will be separated by tour groups,
which will be noted on the interviewee name
badge. The walking tour will include stops to:


frequently-used lecture halls)

Please remember that the temperature in
Colorado may be quite low in January! Please
check the weather forecast, dress warm, and
wear/bring appropriate shoes for a walking tour.

The Anschutz Health & Wellness Center is a
10-15 minute walk from the Education 2
South building.

The PT Research Labs are located on the
ground floor of Building 500. Below are a

Driving Directions
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is located in
the east central part of the metro Denver area in Aurora, southwest
of the intersection of I-70 and I-225.
The Physical Therapy Program office is located in the Education 2
South Building. The closest visitor parking lots to Education 2 South
are the Julesburg and East Overflow lots located on the corner of
17th Place and Victor Street (see the Campus map on for parking
and building locations). Victor Street is just east of Children’s
Hospital Colorado.

one of the following visitor parking lots:
1. Julesburg (east of Education 2 North)
2. East Overflow Lot (south of Julesburg)

Once you enter one of the two parking lots, a current CU Physical
Therapy student will provide a parking hang tag for your vehicle
and direct you to the registration area. You will need this hang tag
displayed on your car’s rear view mirror to avoid receiving a parking
ticket. The CU Physical Therapy Program will not be responsible for
any parking tickets.
If your interviews occur on Friday, the parking hang tag will cover
parking for the entire day.
If your interviews are on Saturday, but plan to attend the Friday
reception from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., our students will be in the
Julesburg parking lot between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. to give you a hang
tag for Friday. If you miss them and arrive between 3:30 and 4:00
p.m., the parking fee is $3.00 payable at the kiosk. If you arrive at
4:00 p.m. or later, the parking fee will be only $1.00.
