Total attendance was 573 kids. Wow! There were a total of 205 entries for the YA/Adult SRP drawings. The winners of the $25 gift cards were Anna Allison, Wayne, and Erica Hunt, Jerry City. The grand prize winner of 4 tickets to Cedar Point was Simon Metzger, Wayne. Congratulations to all the winners! A very big thank you to the following Kids in 1st-5th grades completed 407 sponsors of the 2016 Summer Reading book reviews, read 127,130 pages, Program: and in turn earned $450 for wildlife Barb & Michael Billmaier charities. The Mountain Lion FounDoris & Lou Brossia dation and The Elephant Sanctuary Shelley Garner each received $100. The Campaign for Doris Salisbury Yellowstone Wolves and the National Erin Savial Wolfwatcher Coalition each received Esther Schroeder $125. Fall Book Sale Beginning Tuesday, October 11 Harry Potter Three-Week Program Donations of books, CDs, and DVDs that are in good, usable condition will be accepted beginning Saturday, October 1. Items that we will not accept are previous book sale items, textbooks, magazines, pamphlets, and encyclopedias. Thursdays: September 8, 15, 22 5:00-6:00 p.m. Muggles will “read together” parts of HP and the Cursed Child. A variety of Harry Potter activities will be offered each week, including games, challenges, and HP treats. Participants may dress in their favorite HP costume. Students of all ages welcome; however they: • Should be an avid HP fan. • Must read at a minimum 4th grade reading level. • Must be able to attend all three weeks. Limit of 15 maximum (8 minimum) participants. Registration forms are available at the Library. Borrow books, audiobooks, and digital magazines from the Library! Wayne Public Library’s Cookbook Club Registration for the Fall 2016 Programs will begin Monday, August 15. Spaces are limited and registration forms will be available at the Library or on the website. Junior FUN CLUB Games, crafts, stories, and fun for kids age 4-K Limit - 12 kids. Tuesdays: September 27 - November 15 5:00 p.m. (30-45 minutes) FUN CLUB First Meeting Monday, August 29 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. It’s officially our third season of Cookbook Club. Welcome back or come join in on the fun! Ages 15 & up are welcome to join. Cookbooks will be available at the circulation desk beginning Monday, August 1. If you have questions, please contact Morgan at the Library. Games, crafts, and fun for kids in 1st-5th grades. Limit - 25 kids.
