Non-chronological reports—writing reports based on what we
have learnt about Kenya and our science topics.
We will be making Kenyan traditional huts, necklaces and
exploring Kenyan masks.
Poetry—poems about animals
We will explore the patterns of Kenyan textiles.
Instruction writing
Letter writing & Postcards
We will be reading Mama Panya’s Pancakes, Meercat Mail, Handa’s
Surprise & Handa’s Hen and other traditional fables
and stories from Kenya.
Science
Animals, including humans—we will be learning
about our senses, how we can group different
types of animals and what we eat.
Animals and their habitats— we will be learning
about different habitats and how animals have
adapted to them. We will also learn about food
chains .
Music

The parables of Jesus
We will be exploring the music and rhythms of
East Africa
