Cups Ice (see under #2 below) Plates Napkins Eating utensils Condiments (mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, etc.) Desserts Activities (complete in the order listed below) – Check off as you complete! 1. On the back of this page create a list of items you think will need to be purchased. Write down only the item names. Don’t worry about prices and quantities yet (that is the next step). 2. Then, get your price and quantity information from http://www.peapod.com. When you get to the website, click on the left circle called Groceries for Your Homes. Use Zip code 60603 for Chicago. Shop away using the Browse Aisles, Express Shop, or Search links. To decide how many packages of an item to purchase, look at the servings per package. You will be buying for 400 people. Ice is not listed at Peapod. Here is the price info for ice: 1 bag of ice = $1.20, is enough to fill 10 cups. Also, it would take 3 bags of ice for 1 ice chest of can drinks. 3. Once you have completed your list on the back, you need to begin creating the spreadsheet in Excel. Using the list you created on the back, create a budget for the 8th grade class picnic. 4.
