Text Comox Valley Conservation Strategy Project Area COMOX VALLEY CONSERVATION STRATEGY AREA (183,879 hectares) S The Conservation Strategy Project Area extends from Deep Bay in the south to Oyster River in the north. To the west, it follows the height of land in the Vancouver Island and Beaufort Mountain ranges and to the east it follows the coastline, including intertidal and estuarine waters. Hornby and Denman Islands are excluded from the Project Area because they lie within a separate conservation strategy area overseen by the Islands Trust Fund. tr a BRITISH COLUMBIA it o The Project Area was delineated using the BC Freshwater Atlas Watershed Boundary layer.
