COMOX VALLEY CONSERVATION STRATEGY AREA
(183,879 hectares)
S
The Conservation Strategy Project Area extends from Deep Bay in the
south to Oyster River in the north. To the west, it follows the height of
land in the Vancouver Island and Beaufort Mountain ranges and to the
east it follows the coastline, including intertidal and estuarine waters.
Hornby and Denman Islands are excluded from the Project Area
because they lie within a separate conservation strategy area overseen
by the Islands Trust Fund.
